[Guide] Designing a Th9 Farming Base
Welcome, I have created a guide with many pictures and demonstrations, of how I would go about designing a th9 farming base, I hope This helps some of you :)

Cores:
As far as th9 farming bases go, there are many standard farming cores. Im going to list a few of the most popular th9 cores. In your core Include; Cc, de, xbows, and sometimes mortars.
The 2x2
Pros:
- Small
- hold what you need
Cons
- Not central cc
- Not central De

Pros:
- Central cc
- Okay de placement
Cons:
- You have that one mortar that screws up
symmetry.

Junctions:
Junctions:
Before we get into the making of the base, we need to figure out not to screw everything up. So far you may have picked a core. Now you need to build off it, ad to do so you need to wrap your head around junctions. junctions are a wonderful thing, they keep your bases compartments separated from the attacker.
Heres an example of an improper junction:

You can fix it, and make it staggered like this:

You want to avoid the X’s, and create a zig zag type pattern so the attacker only gets into 1 or 2 compartments at a time. Look for X junctions, and turn them into T junctions. Its as simple as that. If you apply this through out your base, you should find good results. Just keep the concept in mind.
Mid Layer:
In your mid layer, you want to keep your gold, I'm assuming you don't need elixir, so I wont cover that. This part of the base gets built off your core. You want it to consist of your mortars (If not in core), wizard towers, gold storages, and optionally air defense.

I added in teslas, they had the room. Also notice how I keep okay junctions, not perfect, but not terrible. The mid layer sets the stage for the rest of your base, so get those main defense in, and fit them in right.
If you are creating a Hog base, Don't put any defense between the core and outer layer, So your mid layer should be defense free, as seen in this base using a 3x3 core. More on anti hog later.

Outer layer:
When adding your outer layer, you want to keep the shape of your base in mind. You want to keep a circle/square shape. This part gets built off you mid layer, so it may be tough depending on the shape of your mid layer. Keep track of your wall count as well, lets say you have 120 walls left, divide that by 4 and thats how many you can use for funnels/outer layer. In this layer keep your archer towers, cannons, and if you need to gold mines/De drills.
Heres an example built off the 2x2 core, and the inner core from before. It wraps around the outside perfectly creating a ‘circle’ that suits the base nicely and follow our junctions rules.

Anti Hog Outer layers:
Basically, to make your outer layer anti hog, you need to keep defense away from the core, and towards the outside, but still in the walls. You already get the idea of anti-hog mid core, I explained it above, but again, you just don't put any defense in the second layer. Here is an example of an anti hog base, using these tips, and a 3x3 core.

Funneling:
You can make a standard funnel like this one, or add walls to the entry point and add another spring trap, for reassurance. Its a fairly simple procedure, open a wall in a compartment, and put a spring trap. Nothing to it really, This part you can get creative with, just try not to lead attacking troops in to deep. Stronger armies like giants will wreck you if they get into any base.

If you plan on putting a funnel in a base heres a good example how. You want to put the spring trap in the middle, so no mater which direction they come from, they will be funneled into it. also keep defense buildings on each side, this way giants will try to cross instead of breaking into another compartment. Example of a funnel inside the base:

Defense Placement:
Cannons and Archer Towers:
When placing defense, thats in the last layer, keep in mind whats next to each other. At th9 I believe you have 1 more archer tower, then cannon. So chances are you are going to have 2 next to each other. Any way, when placing them, stagger the building types. Heres a good example.
Air Defense:
When you place your air defense, look for the closest place you can put it towards the core. not in the core, you will waste range. if your going for anti hog disregard that, it will only lure hogs in, otherwise its always good to protect your Ad, Another good example is show here in ayberks base again. (Thanks Ay)

Trap And Teslas:
Teslas:
If your teslas are not in the core, put them by wall junctions to kill wall breakers. This will keep your teslas always in the action, as they have the highest dps in the game. When In the core, they do wonders keeping your De safe, or backing up your cc troops.

Small bombs:
You can put them in clusters, Or on outside to guards your mines, They are so tiny, they don't really matter. Heres an example of them in a cluster.

Giant Bombs:
These are the big boys :P They do wonders on hogs, Keep 2 next to each other between 2 defensive buildings, to kill off hogs. Otherwise, stickem in the corner cause they are pretty damn expensive!

Springs traps:
These are easy, stick them in your funnels, If you don't have funnels, and are using a hog base, you can put them where you think the hogs will run, and tweak as so. Like so:

Air Mines/bombs:
For these guys, put air mines on the outer most layer. you do this because it will take out any healers before they can inflict any major “healing”. As for air bombs, (the red ones) put them in the middle of the base, this will help defend against packs of minions, that might be headed for your de.
