hey guys, I'm a newly th8 and currently trying to max defenses but I can't find any collector bases at around 1350 cups. Where do you found the most loot at at th8? I personally tried gold 3 too with same results.
Should I move up to gold 2?

im a new th8 too - currently working my way up to gold2.
it gets a bit better around 1500! :)
I've found pretty good loot in the upper silver 1, just keep on nexting and you'll find a base sooner or later ;)
I was farming in gold2 and staying between 1500-1600 and this worked well until about 2 days ago. I think they cleared out inactives in preparation for clan wars. Either that or ppl are coming back to the game to I've it a try. I dropped to 1400 and have had some success but its still slower than I would like. I use BARCH for farming and at 1400 I have to be prepared to go inside the walls too so it is more challenge and less reward. Hopefully in a couple of weeks things will be back to normal.
For me there're only two options:
1 - Try a cheap combination of troops use only Archers and some giants for distracting the defenses and spread the Archers all around the base for two time quickly to get as many as possible amount of buildings and the rest use them in good place you choose(many near the mortars to get rid of them quickly or wierd tower it depend on the base) and 1 rage spell for them and you can easily get 2 stars if not 3!
2 - go down on trophies below 200 trophies! you can find a lot of farmer and collector bases and sometimes you can only use goblins for the weak bases and careful try not to get more than 200 trophies. or just get the resources and leave the battle.
both of them works fine for me ;)
You're probably not going through enough bases. I easily spend $20k to $30k finding a base with $400k+ loot. So keep hitting "Next" until you find one, be patient and don't settle for anything under what you're looking for.
For TH8 I'd say between 14-1600 is the most abandoned bases. And you get a decent amount of DE too. But that's just me. I use barch to hit the collectors and then attack a couple of other farming bases to make up for the trophies.
Yea try going to the 1700 cup range :rolleyes:
