Tell that to the #1 player that uses hogs right now:rolleyes:

*gasp* that is brilliant!
With loons - a Th9 can make an anti-loon base that is much more iron tight than an anti-hog base. If I go in with 20 loons and max level minions against a base withe centralized AD and wizard towers, with Air mines that are imbedded so I can't scout them out and wizards in the CC, and as a cake topper both x-bows pointed up - I'm nexting. Sure I could probably pull out a win if I carry out a precision raid using 3-5 spells (depending on a good dose of luck) but the risk isn't worth it. Make that a Th10 with infernos and its not doable without all 5 spells and high level heros.
With hogs - honestly for a Th10 to make a anti-hog base that is so iron tight a Th10 coming at it with 5 spells and a full assortment of attackers is impossible if the attacker is good. A poor hogger will struggle against an anti-hog base, but an expert will tear it to pieces with precision deployment. BUT a hog raid using only a spell or two is weaker than a loon raid without a spell or two. So the total train time is actual high and would require you to boost your spell factory for frequent use. Also vs Th10 it would require a freeze spell to be on hand if not two.
To be fair I can 3 star a Th9 with Giants/Healer and some wizards. I've managed with 12 Giants, 6 Valkyries, 3-4 healers, 10 or so Wizards and about 15 wallbreakers. Throw in a few rage spells, get some luck with the AI of your units and you get the same results. You just don't see it much but the train time is 45 minutes, minus the healers and more of the other units (then usually some barbs and archers get thrown in) and its still pretty tough. But Valkyries aren't popular and they are required to bring that training time down to a "lazy farmer" level. But I 3 stared Th9 bases without spells using that combo (luck was involved), but since I mostly aim for 50% I haven't taken it to Masters III to see how it would fair.... I hate infernos....
EDIT: As a Th10 player now, I don't want them nerfing any of the lazy farming tactics - because that is pretty much all I have that can get me consistent loot. Speed Farming (Barch, BAM, etc) require painful search times (and thus cost) and won't hold water against any Th10 base holding a pair of disco infernos (many poor base designs are still impractical to speed farm due to this). I am not saying I should be able to speed farm, but I need something that can get me good loot. You take away that and it would be pointless for me to continue playing
i dont loonion but its not OP. make ur air coverage better. simple
