Defending TH9: How often do you see level six wallbreakers?

I am upgrading to TH9 and wondering if I should at first only spend 3M gold to get my additional 25 walls to level 6 (which to destroy takes two level five wallbreakers, but only one level six wallbreaker) before moving on to other upgrades (x-bow!) or immediately spend 8M gold to get them to level 7 (which takes two level six wallbreakers). All my other walls are level 8.

How often do you see level six WBs when defending at TH9?

Im not at town hall 9 yet but I don't see many at my trophy level. I sit at around 1400 trophies and nobody uses high level wall breakers on me. If i were you i would save the 3 mil gold on other more important upgrades and upgrade the walls later.

I would use a base design with funneling so the level of those new walls does not matter. Save the gold for more important upgrades and new defenses.

do your buildings first...

get 1 builder to build new walls, AQ, and new buildings AT, AD, WT...
other builders to do lab, sf and and army camps with the elixir...
if you still have builder, you can start an xbow

then dump the rest gold into walls...

There are tons of premmie TH 10 in that range, when all I got were lvl 6 walls, I got constantly pestered by them. Now with my level 8 walls, the raids using breakers have lessened significantly.

Remember that raiders always search for villages they can raid efficiently with as few troops as possible to save for time and resources. If you got level 7 walls, they will search for another TH 9 with level 6 walls, even if they'd get slightly less loot.

get all walls to 8 before going to th9 it will benefit u greatly. L6 walls r easy peasy and if i come across u as a th9 i will wreck u
