Fishing event? Again? Why?

I have no complaints on this event. I fill like fishing more and start using some vouchers, and I am happy for the opportunity.

It is on the first goal which is 10lbs I believe. At least I only had to catch one of those big fish to meet the first goal.

Why not a fishing event? There is an increasingly large number of high level players for who coin hold absolutelty no interest at all.

the visitor events bore me, I never bother with them. I don't need the extra coin. If they did a double xp event I would love it, but I can just imagine the complaints afterwards from lower level players - 'I've levelled up too fast, I can't afford the new machines and now the boat keeps asking for them, not fair SC..!!' Because ther will ALWAYS be something for one one to complain about.

I have all my animals, enough decorations, what else do I have to do with my vouchers? The fishing event gives me the opportunity to use them up!

Yes Tweezle -- but EVERY OTHER WEEK? :confused::confused::confused: And for microprizes like screws and mallets and 1 pink voucher? :(:( :(

Count us among those who are disappointed at the complete lack of innovation and creativity shown by repeating the fishing "event" every 2 weeks.

C'mon SC -- mix the events up for us. Give us a global product event like the cookie event or a Visitor Bonus event -- or a special time change on some some product -- or just SOMETHING ELSE besides FISHING!!

Repeating events with such frequency is in itself boring -- and weren't the events introduced in the first place to add a new wrinkle and make the game interesting?

Absence makes the heart grow fonder - time to rest this event for a few cycles or lengthen the cycle between events. Coming up with NEW IDEAS FOR EVENTS would be a solution too, of course --

I don't mind fishing event -- I fish with lure all the time anyway. However, I do agree with OP that the fishing event comes too frequently. Even if its a event I can benefit (unlike little ppl event and double coin events, which I don't participate since I already have way too many coins), I still prefer to see a change. I would much prefer a global revent that we all donate specific product. Those are really fun and I always push myself for those ones :o

variety of fish is not good for me, as I won't create purple or gold vouchers, even outside the event... and yeah... less fishing events... I don't mind them for now, but, I guess I will be sitting them out when I get the big game fisher achievement... 3,544 out of 6,000 lbs to go..

So funny!! And a great idea! There's gotta be some way to better incorporate the new NHs into events. Perhaps we can contribute as a team? Or something?

I enjoy the fishing events, but I'm a little puzzled that we've had so many. Okay, the first one after the update was screwed up. None of the promised new fish were available, and the carp became invisible except its eyes. So I can understand having another one right away.

But yet another? I don't mind fishing, but this seems excessive.

Better than the boat events, though. Those are probably my least favorite, especially if they're not offering double vouchers or something. I feel pressured to fill boats I would normally cast off, and my friends all start asking for stuff they'd never ask for otherwise. And my final prize for the last boat event? Five saws. Be still, my heart.

AnastasiaNik im sorry if my response was a little hostile. I re-read it & realized it sounded like I was lashing out. I guess last night I was just irritated to see that the event was yet ANOTHER fishing event.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I'm not saying we NEED a little people event. I meant we need more variety. I understand a lot of people have different preferences of their favorite & least favorite event. My favorite just happens to be the visitor event (little people) because you can make a lot of coins in a short amount of time. I know higher level players don't care for that event because they don't need the coins. But I enjoy it because it gives me enough coins to decorate (in case you didn't know I LOVE decorating). But I was just saying we need a variety of events instead of just repeating the same one or same few over. Anything besides fishing would make me happy. Thank you everybody for sharing your point of view.
