How do you manage to have your animals fed?

Love to hear about the different strategies. For the longest time, well after farm life became quite comfy coin wise around level 40 or so, I would not harvest animal products and instead, bought everything. Yes right, too lazy to keep up with the constant harvesting, feeding, producing feed etc.

Now that I actually want to master the feed mills as an achievement, I had to come up with a plan lol. Seriously, there is no plan though. Other than checking in every couple hrs. I sell most of the feed I'm making. I still prefer to buy milk, bacon etc. One feed mill is making goat feed constantly, the other one the other feeds in no specific order. More sheep feed when I know I'll be away for awhile, a mixture if I can check in every other hr or so.

How many slots are there in the mill?

I rotate through sheep and goat mostly. It just depends if I have more soybeans, corn or carrots in my silo.
However it will take around 221 days to finish with my feed mill mastery.
Lately, I don't make chicken, pig or cow feeds.

Personally, I like jam maker due to fact I got 5 slots for it. I tend to make sure I have enough fruits to put in the jam maker. I tend to change my mind on either selling the sells or hoarding the jams.

However if you are going to do boats, you got to either send away the jams ones, ask for help(sometimes it will not get helped) or have Tom to get the jams for you. You might get lucky finding the jams in friends store or DD.

you can have as many as 9 per mill

I don't feed mine. I have trained them to wander over to the fields and just chow down on the crops!

Well there is many good ways to make it and all of the above are nice.... My way is i use one feedmill on cows and chickens qnd do the others on the other and yes iopened some slots.. On the pig i go pig sheep goat pig sheep goat amnd on the other i go cow chicken cow chicken and so on!

and a out the jam maker yes u need it! As someone said its like the holy grail thats why u dont see it! But it takes soo long time and it is asked for in many places! I say unless its an event donot sell it to trucks and little ppl! Just keep it for boats! Its hard enough! Isay jam is in the class of sugar and dairys!!!

And you need jam for jelly beans. I love jelly beans!

Definitely get the second Feedmill. Also by keeping the animals fed and gathering eggs, milk etc. you can make a lot of points to level up.The jam maker takes way too long and is not as profitable.

the jams sell very well. You dint see them I. Rss because people don't sell them often. They take awhile to make and people hang onto them
