I have a pretty solid grasp on clan wars from the youtube videos, they were fun, sometimes cheeky, just a little bit of flavor. Sure there are some extra details to dig into either with release notes or with additional videos. I will also add that in some ways the videos go into more depth than a well polished marketing piece because you actually get into more of the nuts and bolts of the gameplay with the youtubers.

There would be a 30 page sticky Q&A thread with or without the youtube videos.

Keep this in perspective - with the amount of developer hours invested into clan wars it could be a brand new standalone game. Of course there are going to be lots of questions - it is very complex - part of what makes it so special and exciting.

That is also my gripe with the way things are released. I'm sure the idea was to create some buzz around CW release, but with all the questions and confusion, it takes away from this highly anticipated update. It also gives the impression that SC isn't on top of everything.

I agree with you, maybe you just didn't understand what I've said, i don't know. I do believe this could be another game itself, and i think this update will be great, that's not my point here, it's just that SC didn't seem to really "control" this update infos, and that's what seemed unprofessional to me as stated by the OP.

When it's released, there will be an official thread that explains all of the details...just like every other update. Everything up to this point is just hyping it up and even creating confusion to get people talking about it. Basic marketing.

Again you fail to see the point! Some of us dont want to watch a 10 min video or have the time to sit and watch it... Some of us dont feel like hearing people on a video drooling over themselves about a game.. We rather read about it and get the info straight from supercell bec thats what we come to the forums for . NOT a youtuber.. Understand now?

This is my problem with it as well, really not into watching several Youtube videos that glance over it and feed them with more subscribers and $$ at the end of the day.
