Of course. People always complain.
I've been saying this would happen...

Yes, no offense to the YouTubers, but i'm not impressed. Not professional at all. I know why SC did it, but they really should have spent a little time and did a quality video themselves. We don't care about a hog singing in a promo. But at least we get some info....
Technically supercell did release a professoinal video advertising clan wars that im sure took many months to make. I think a large amount of the community would disagree in having no content over some with bad editing. Especially from the gamers that were playing since day one of its first released on the App Store. Watching YTbers is a bonus not a prerequisite to the update. Supercell is a company that must maintain its integrity. So I don't mind giving feedback to troll comments that hold no merit.
Yeah bec YOU know there will be an official video of it. You dont know so dont mention it. Apparently, it seems to be mandatory to watch one of the four for this update to get any info for it...... So we obviously have to watch one. And i said, i could only stand to watch one of the four:..Doesnt mean I like the way supercell is giving out info. Don't get all butthurt son
A 100% factual and informational video by any of the youtubers would have been the best thing possible. However, there are two problems with this.
First of all, it seems like a large amount of critical information about CW is not being given to the youtubers. This would include matchmaking formulas, exact rewards for a successful CW victory and things like that.
Secondly, it sounds as though CW is still being tweaked and changed. How can you really give detailed information on an unfinished product?
I think rather then provide inaccurate or outdated information, many of the youtubers decided to focus on "fun" videos rather then "informative" videos.
Disclaimer: i have only watched one video from each youtuber and i found Simon Tay's to be the most informative so far.
This is no troll comment, I'm just trying to be unbiased. My problem is not what they wanted to do, but what it has led to. This is a company who is about to launch an update -maybe its biggest since day one- and they have chosen to tease people with Youtubers. So far, everything's fine.
BUT :
- their official teaser is a hog and its rider singing on a piano driven by a barbarian. Really ?
- they have done all these April fools and Easter eggs stuffs, so people are all confused.
- their other official way of communication about CW is via Youtubers : is it normal that you have to watch four different channels to make yourself an idea which isn't accurate because videos are bad (yes I'm sorry, I'm not saying they are bad just for the pleasure, they are bad) and because Youtubers are talking about an update which has been tweaked since the last time they have played on it. Seriously ? So you're supposed to make yourself an opinion about this update with these videos, but you have to be careful because what you see is not what you will get ? What the hell ?
Of course this was mean well, but what has this led to ? Everything's confusing, everybody seems to have its own opinion. This is fun, whatever you want to, but not professional at all.
First of all this has to be one of the biggest updates which Clash of Clans has seen so far if not the biggest so it does make sense to want something different for a feature that has been requested and wanted by so many for so long. There has gone a huge amount of time and effort in developing Clan Wars. So yes I think it is safe to say that Supercell, we and the community are super duper excited about this update.
Now for all those saying they dont want to watch so many videos by so many different people and so on. Keep in mind they have put a lot of work and effort in this to create these and bring you the information. Reason why it was several YouTubers is to reach as many players as possible. Not all clashers subscribe to all the channels. Lots just follow only one or two. Every YouTuber has his own unique style and approach so some may fit you better then the other in how things are explained or presented. A certain aspect which may be clearly presented by YouTuber A might not be as clear to you if you watch YouTuber B and so on.
Yes information is presented in bits and pieces because there is an incredible amount of stuff to cover to explain it all. It is impossible to explain it all in one video. If it were we have full movie on our hands which could fill an entire evening easily. Some just want to select and watch aspects which interests them while others want to know everything at once.
The way this was presented might not be ideal for some however a lot also like it as more information about an update is shared then ever before. So is this way perfect ? Probably not. Can it ever be perfect for everyone ? Not likely. The material shot by the YouTubers and the information which has been shared has been changed and some of it is still subject to change. So yes it can be a bit confusing but we will get there in the end.
So in short if you don't have or don't want to spend the time finding out about the upcoming update. Relax, sit back, play the game and return when the release notes are here and you can actually go to war because the easiest way to find out is to actually play a war.
Why is everyone expecting every detail to be released already? When have they ever released that before the actual update. I'm pumped we are getting videos about clan wars as opposed to just one picture that says clan wars, which would leave us wildly speculating.
The youtubers videos may not give us everything, but I know they have given me a good idea about what wars will be like.
Thank you youtubers, and lets just enjoy the build up to the biggest update ever!
