I always have way too much elixer and can't use it on anything. It would be really cool to be able to trade in elixer for dark elixer. Maybe get 100 dark for 1 or 2000 regular elixer.

This would defeat the purpose of raiding. One of the difficulties of the game is getting the right loot that you need

Supercell ruled out this idea(s) because
1: Players could funnel loot into one account
2: Players could safeguard loot, which is against game ethics, would make loot worse and create more trolls
3: Players could sell loot for real money
