Reporting

When someone is reported, the name of who sent the report should be displayed, just as it does when someone is kicked out.

should say "user name" was reported by "user name"

People come in neighborhoods, dont say a word and report people who are trading and doing nothing wrong. If the name was displayed of who sent the report, that person can be removed. This causes unnessisary problems and disrupts the game play and makes it very frustrating not knowing who is hiding in a neighborhood randomally sending reports. This can easily avoided by displaying the name of who is sending unwarranted reports.

Totally agree with this. Also I think the person reporting should have to leave a comment as to why they are doing it, and the person who got reported should know why

I have been reported twice. Once was on the first day I started my neighbourhood. No idea why. The other time was by someone who is no longer in my hood and his excuse was that is friend thought it would be funny.

I also have a lady in my hood who was reported by another member simply because she didn't like her, which I think is very unfair

People shouldn't even be allowed to send a report if they aren't actively involved in the chat.
So many times people come into my nh don't say a word and start firing off random reports to those who are talking and trading.
As soon as your say something you become a target for those who are in there for the wrong reason.

This unfair balance should be corrected.

almost clicked by accident on the report button when involved in a chat and working on farm. Have not even remotely wanted to report, could this be a case of too easily clicked button, like the diamond speed up. Does it have a confirm button before a report is sent or is it automatic? Could some of these reports be accidents?

Though I myself have never been reported, I have almost hit report a couple of times. There are plenty of people in this day and age who don't even realize they are "out of order". I think it is only fair that the accusation be known by the person who was reported.

I really do not agree that the reporting person's name should be given, but there should at the very least be a small multiple choice type reasons list.

For example: player was reported because:

1- consistent use of foul/ offensive language
2- inappropriate/suggestive/unwarranted language
3- and whatever other common issues are

this would TOTALLY eliminate accidental reporting AND help the devs or moderators to quickly figure out why Soinso was reported.

I think reports should go to the leaders and coleaders only, so they should monitor these, especially if they are just a mistake. One of my good players was reported for no reasons and it was just put on the nh chat and caused quite confusion. This needs a fix fast.

Several people in my neighborhood were reported. They had done absolutely nothing wrong. What we think happened was, when you tap on a person's name to visit their farm, you get two options: visit / report. We think someone was inadvertently hitting report and not realizing it, at least not consciously. Our leader asked everyone if they had reported anyone and nobody had. I reported the issue to Hay Day and asked that they consider putting in a confirmation of yes or no, do you really want to report this person. As usual they said they would review the situation and considerate. But at least they have been made aware of the situation.

I am leader in a neighbourhood and we have also recently had a few reportings going on, one was an accident but the last was reporting a very helpful and polite person who also happens to be a co-leader, after much asking other members we are at a loss who done it or why this happened?! I would agree that a name needs to be given of who is reporting but only given to the leader so they could approach the people concerned and try to rectify whatever issues are going on .

I totally agree with your idea, in addition with the visit/report buttons there should be a Cancel option button. Knowing the name of the person reporting will create animosity in the neighborhood which will be followed by retaliation I'm sure of it.

Reporting isn't accidental. You have to confirm your action.
