They did. They give you a "recommended target" based on the calculated level of your base compared to the enemy bases. Of course, you don't have to attack that base. You can target any base from the opposing clan.

So basically if you're a farmer, you have to change your base layout ahead of every war?
Sounds like a lot of fun.
As I've seen the clan caste hosts loot. Will your storages expend to maximum of 9M?
Also, CW CC, does that only work for defense? Can you fill it if it is used or the troops inside ar killed during the war?
Trophy counts are alledgely used to determine which clan members participate in the war. That is what I have been saying this whole time.
For instance, your clan has 50 members, you go to war with a clan with 40 members. 40 members of your clan will be in the war. Which 40? Apparently the top 40 trophy counts within the clan. I would prefer it to be the top 40 bases in the clan. That is all.
I think Dave's quote is referring to what I tried (maybe poorly?) to explain. The actual match making system of clan wars does not take trophies into account, it takes into account TH level, hero levels, defense level, and wall level. However the system that tells the match making system what those levels are, does use trophies.
Sounds like there are 2 systems.
First system takes the top 30 players of a clan based purely off trophies, views their base for the average TH, average heros, average defenses, and average wall level. It then takes that information and calls it the "clan average."
then the system gives the "clan average" to the match making system and it finds another similarly built clan.
So the match making system itself doesn't actually use trophies when looking for a match, but trophies are used before hand.
If I'm wrong or not making sense and someone else thinks they can explain it further please do.
1. No, storage cap does not increase. You collect the loot from your cc as you would a mine or collector and it goes into your storage. Though it may be advantageous at times to leave loot in the cc if it turns out the percent lootable from the cc is very low and you cant spend it immediately.
2. Yes cw cc is only for defense.
2a. Troops killed on defense are immediately replenished. The same troops you were donated on preparation day will be on defense for every defense you encounter during the war.
Side note: for attack, you will be responsible for your requesting for troops in your cc, just like you will be responsible for building your troops spells and heroes before each of the two available clan war attacks you make.
