Gem gifting from inventory is indeed not allowed. How about from store? Could CoC put an option when buying gems to either put the gems in buyer's inventory or in friend's inventory.

Or you can just be a super donutbag slophead and just tell people to flacker off and don't post here. And if you say search, but don't necro, that is basically what you are doing.
And furthermore, buying them a gift card doesn't work if you are in different countries.
