Not sure if many are trolling (mainly cause its April Fools Day) due to the fact that they are saying that the CC has resources so that people will be able to donate resources to other clan-mates. And obviously this is false because SC has ruled out in their "Ruled Out Ideas" Thread that donating resources with another player won't be happening.
Taken from twister's thread in the Idea sub-forum: "Ideas, ruled out, subforum guideline"it lists:
"*Donating (or trading) resources (or gems) with another player"
So this kinda leaves the only option of CC having resources on top because it will have a resource value when attacking, just like the TH.
To very loosely prove this, I was watching Chief Pat's recent "New Update Announcement" Video where I guess he was trolling people with that Lv5 OP Valk who just completely annihilates all the buildings. But as I was watching, I noticed as the buildings got destroyed, like when a TH gets destroyed and spurts of Elixir and Gold pop out, the same did with the CC!
If you are confused, look at how the resources are emerging straight from the CC, and is parallel to the actions by the TH which is also doing the same thing!
If the CC will hold a resource value like everyone speculates, how much will it hold without changing the max storage capacity of 8 million? Keep in mind that the TH holds 1K of Gold and Elixir, so will the CC have that same amount?
I guess our only way of knowing is tonight/tomorrow!

Clearly its a layaway system (lay-by for my aus bros)
you can add start applying small amounts of resources to upgrades.
The downside is you can lose a % of applied resource if the building gets destroyed.
To tie up my loose ends and a otherwise flawless guess, upgrades is cost 2-3 resources instead of one large amount.

Another picture taken from one of Simon Tay's videos also shows a Clan Castle that was blurred out and had a very different shape than the current level 5 one, which would suck cause I just finally freaking maxxed my Clan Castle and I felt very accomplished :c

MY guess with the resources on top of the clan castle is that it reflects your clan's resources. Supercell will introduce a new feature in the game which will require your clan to have resources. The amount of resources the clan can have depends on the levels of its members clan castles. They act as the clan's storage's, as well as holding troops. And similar to storage's, when you attack a clan castle, you steal resources from that clan giving it to your clan and vice versa.

Well this is what I saw, Valk's will be able to destroy buildings through walls and have level 5 added to them, hogs will get a decrease in speed, and clan wars is coming, but no one knows how it will be implemented.
