Do you guys and gals feel putting your outside building right against your wall is better, or do you push the troops to spawn back as far from your wall as possible.
Pros and Cons of being close to walls
Pros:
- Barch, BAM, and all archer raids are less effective
- Doesn't give any buildings to snipe for easy %
- If you're offline for a while it's harder for people to take your collecters.
Cons:
- Wallbreakers can break walls easier
- Gives less time for defenses to injure attackers troops
Depends on several things including townhall level but since I'm only TH 7 and have few structures, I like stuff in tight to let my defenses get more rounds to fire on raiding troops.
I farm so further away makes more sense to me hence i don't care about the easy 50%. Also I believe pushing spawn farther back helps defend against barch and bam. Just fromm personal expierence using barch and bam with a pushed back spawn was tricky to get the troop's AI to target the right building. Also my barbs would run up get attention of the mortar and the mortar shell would lag behind like usual(air time) and 1 shot my cluster of archers behind the wall. Also when using barch I would use 6-8 wall breakers(2 wall breakers per wall usually) when the spawn is back if my wallbreakers get shot down the raid was diffucult to salvage. Many barchers aren't heavy on the wall breakers that I know of. Sorry for all barch and bam references that's pretty much all i use...;)
I do a combo of both. I keep my mines and collectors tight against the walls so they are in range of defenses. All other buildings I push out 2 squares to both increase spawn distance and make heros/cc more difficult to lure.
