Level 7 Walls Before TH 8?

I've been debating with myself back and forth about this for 5 days or so, so I decided to ask the forums. I have a maxed Town Hall 7 besides walls (all level 6 besides 15 level 7 walls), and also some research for troops. I decided to finish up research and do walls at the same time, and once I finish research I'd start my TH 8 upgrade. However, I'm not sure this is wise. Town Hall 8 comes with a Dark Elixir Drill so I can start to store up
some precious Dark Elixir and begin to upgrade my Barbarian King, but if I wait for level 7 walls I'm missing out on all that DE. Also, I raid about 6-7 times a day and gain about 150k-250k in resources per raid (usually mostly gold). I plan to increase this with lots of barracks boosting soon.

No matter what, however, I am at least waiting as long as it takes to finish up my lab upgrades (probably a good 2 weeks).

TLDR;

Should I upgrade to TH 8 while I do my level 7 walls or wait it out at TH 7?

Pros to TH 8:

- Dark Elixir Drill can rack up DE.
- Can begin upgrading Laboratory
- Can keep builders busy while doing my walls

Cons to TH8:

- Spending gold on TH upgrade
- Probably get distracted w/ defense and new walls
- Less loot for walls as compared to TH 7

Pros to TH 7:

- No distractions to spend gold on
- Motivation to keep upgrading and get it done

Cons to TH 7:

- No constant DE source
- Inactive builders for a long time
- long 8 day wait once walls are done
- can't begin the basics of a new TH w/ excess elixir (lab upgrade, walls, etc).

All opinions welcome, I'm at a stalemate here.

i would do em and upgrade th when you have about 50 walls left cause you can finish those while the th is going

I would say that you should raid constantly for another 3-4 days before upgrading your TH. Give it time.

Finish your walls, they aren't that bad. And the drill isn't all that. A consistent flow of DE but I get much more from raiding.

they really dont take THAT long. just get them.

I would finish them. If you know how long they will take you can start the th upgrade while you finish the walls to save time :)

Loot at th7 is very good and easy.... you can upgrade all your walls while your th is upgrading just 35 million but upgrading de troops would have been good.

So I would suggest you to raid in gold3... so that you get both gold and de in good amounts... by the time your walls get done you will have de to upgrade your hogs or minions or both :)

(this is by experience I had done th7 walls in 6 days)

this is a game of patience and having really good patience pays off in the long run. No need to hurry

As a new th 8 the drill isn't going to provide more than your raids anyway and I did my th 7 max just like you mentioned I did walls the same time as I finished my research and it balanced out and besides new th 8s get hit hard you'll need the walls for the 500k skullies :(
