If you have 4 or 5 bldrs then go like this: clan castle (1 time upgrade for this th) then wizard tower then mortar.
Wizard tower before mortar only because it can take on both ground and air units.
The day you dont have enough gold to do these 2 then do cheap upgrades like cannon or archer tower otherwise wizard n mortar all the way :)

For Me its the Wizard Towers..... Splash Damage, Air and Ground Damage....To each their own.

Clan Castle without a doubt, if leaving that out then it's Inferno towers. Guys, just calculate the DPS and consider the range as well as against air/ground.
