Questions about BAM

How is it optimal to go into a raid with half your army? (i use "half" here very loosely). Seems like this would only be optimal for your very last raid of the evening, assuming you don't find something that needs more than 150 troops that you would otherwise have attacked, and otherwise it's decidedly sub optimal, since you will have to wait for more troops anyway. Hehe. No? Have you never needed all your troops before?

What would be the point in using 200 troops when you get the same result with 150? Going with fewer troops enables you to raid more often = larger profits.

On another note, using fewer troops is a good way to practice getting the job done without wasting excess troops, which improves your skill / ability to use an army more efficiently. That way you can go into a raid & be sure you can pull it off with less troops than you would usually be comfortable with. If you go with 200 you're more likely to over compensate, hence resulting in less frequent attacking.

Course some bases require more troops to pull off the raid. Usually if loot is bad or I'm raiding more casual I'll wait til my camps are fuller.

Imo it's logic, but feel free to do what you want. If you disagree, then do what works for you & that's cool.:cool:

Forgive me, but the whole point of logic is that it isn't opinion based. Still trying to wrap my head around this. It seems to me that regardless of how many troops you start with, you will still have to replace however many you use.

IMO it's logic - in other words - in my opinion, it's a no brainer. Someone else might disagree with that.

If you wanna look at it as taking 200, using 150 & repeating, then that's the same concept. The only issue with that is you're more than likely to overcompensate & waste unnecessary troops. Taking 150 teaches you to get the job done with less & allows you to increase your frequency of attacking. It makes more sense for example to go with 150 instead of 200, if you want to prevent this sort of scenario.

I LOLed at this video. You can do much better on BAM and Barch than this ♥♥♥♥. So a search on this forum and ignore self promoting youtubers.

I think what Wheels means is that BAM is a strategy based off speed. It's a fast build time and the minions give that X factor of an advantage over Barch. The tactic with both is to try and use the least amount of troops granted, however the minions offer more opportunities and a quicker build time. The quicker you can raid, the lower you can set your standards, the less troops you need to use. If you struggle with this concept check out Flammy's youtube videos on micro farming.
