250 gems short of 4th builder

I'm going to be a th 7 in a few days and a 4th builder would be pretty nice I imagine. I'm also at 1300 trophies and thought about town hall sniping to get to crystal and get the 250 gem achievement. But I also noticed you get 250 gems for donating 25000 troops. I'm about 20,000 shy of that. My clan isn't the most active but I still donate quite a bit, currently donated around 1500 this season.

Should I town hall snipe to crystal or try to find a more active clan, wait it out and donate 20,000 more troops? I thought about getting a few people together and just have them waste my troop donations in the single player game so I could keep donating. But I figure that would still take some time. Or is there a faster way to donate troops?

I would make the push to crystal, that's how I got my fourth builder. Donating 20,000 troops is going to take a LONG time no matter how you go about it.

The issue with the Donation challenges is that they are very unrealistic numbers to try and achieve. Try and think how many troops you typically donate in a full 2 week season (or by the time everything resets) I usually get around 900 and I like to think I'm a fairly active player without going too overboard. If you were to even achieve 2000 per season, or 1000 per week, it would take you 10 solid weeks of dedicated donations to achieve this. By that time you would probably already be close to finishing town hall 7, and that under ideal conditions and without breaks. Really the only people I see who can achieve this are those in Request then Leave clans, since they almost focus entirely on producing low value troops and giving them to low level players all day to raise their donations to crazy numbers. Once you have some defenses and walls upgraded in TH 7 I would try and go for crystal if you really need those gems, there are loads of guides and base set ups for town hall 7's to get to crystal league and it really isn't that hard at all with the right attack strategies, it wouldn't nearly as long as donation 20k troops haha. Also, with the boosted finding rate of gems in obstacles you can effectively farm those to get gems fast as well, you can sometimes find 5 gems in a single unit. This can go much faster than the donations too, after a few weeks you will start seeing a very nice pool of gems. Hope this helps!

Yeah I kind of figured but it seems like people around here don't like th snipers. Thought maybe donating troops would be a viable alternative. I don't think it would take too long if you really tried but yeah pushing is probably the way to go.

Everybody TH snipes and it does farmers a favor. nobody has a prob with th snipers really......

There was a thread about revenge here a while ago, it seemed like some people loved to get revenge on people th sniping to crystal.

Oh yeah but if you stay on and snipe you should be fine. you can only be revenged once then you'll have a shield. so if you get more trophies then you lose in that one attack you'r good.

People revenge anyone they can that has loot because you get to view their base to plan attack you get more trophies. it dosnt matter why you'r on the list.

For the "friend in need" challenge, the way I did this was to clan hop when I had plenty of elixir and a full shield.

Just go to a random clan and donate barbarians (or giants if you are feeling generous because they are worth 5 points each)
