I just got TH8 like 3 weeks ago. Got like 176 Level 7 walls and 49 level 5 walls still. I was wondering if it a wise decision to leave builder free for walls because I always got quite overflow gold when I waiting for some defense building...

It's really up to your personal feelings, but I would also say it depends on how many builders you have. If you only have 2, it's definitely not a good idea. If you have 5, it might be. If you always have an overflow and at least have 3 builders, I'd say it'd be okay to keep one free. It's better to upgrade walls than to lose all your gold to raiders.

I don't think it's a good idea wasting a builder. You can always upgrade ur wall when your builder is available, it only take few seconds to upgrade the walls. If you have extra gold everyday, just organize your base upgrades so there will be one finish everyday and u'll have a builder for few minutes b4 making another upgrade.Quote:

I don't think this is wise advice. Keeping a builder available is important if you can upgrade often. You present a far less desirable target if you have less than 200K available to attackers.Quote:

I do it so my gold never gets wasted when I have full storages. I also want to work on walls so thats what I've been doing.
Yes it is. Get them up to a substantial level and then just do them all on actual upgrades
I do keep a builder freed up to work on walls. I hate seeing the gold I looted being packed off by some TH 10 that's down in trophies farming TH9's. When I have a builder gonna be freed up in a couple days, I start saving for next planned upgrade. If I loot enough to upgrade before a builder gets free, I use the spare builder that was working on walls. Now as TH9, most upgrades are around 5 mil gold and when 30 lvl 5 hogs come calling, they can pack off in 1 raid what it takes me 3-4 raids to loot. I'd much rather my gold be spent on my walls than get spent on a raiders walls.Quote:
