True, I do have a problem with the game mechanics punishing people who play and farm a lot and letting people off the hook who don't play. But the defensive mechanics are part of that. You get punished for winning defenses.
And I agree the game is either farm or trophy hunt ( unless you are th10 with ITs). I was just trying to mix things up a bit.
I see we've now stooped to personal insults. I'm sorry your mom doesn't love you and you need to take your frustrations out on this forum. Every time you post it's the same. An insult to whoever you are talking to. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a life and some friends. Maybe it will help with the anger issues.
I know how it feels and you're not the first and only one questioning the defensive win. I've seen threads addressing such issue in the past.
Thing is, no one has yet found out any alternate methods to overcome that problem without letting people abusing the system and ruined the game. So I guess we just simply accept that. It might not be the best system, but certainly better yet than any other would be alternatives.
Amazing how we just had 2 posts without someone flaming the other poster. Maybe there is hope for this forum.
I guess you are correct, I don't see a fix for defensive wins unless they revamp the whole system. Other games have different servers with different rules. I'd love to see a second server with a "No win, no loot" policy. That would really mean trophys meant something. But I also know that would be very difficult to play based on the current upgrade system.
People have had lots of great ideas, SC just has not implemented them. At the root of the issue is cups has *very* little value to a very large population of players. Other then getting you to your farm range or that once a month you push. People have been talking about it for a very, very long time. Just the people who can change it are not listening.

Hey OP, lol i was a bit confused with the thread as well initially - not sure whether u were questioning about the lack of rewards or the MM system itself (30mins 6 attacks). Just my opinions:
1. If its about the rewards for successful defensive wins, then unfortunately the general definition of rewards in this case depends on whether u are chasing cups (TH inside) or protecting resources (TH outside / effective resources protecting base). If u are chasing cups, i would say u are well rewarded with the huge gain in trophies. If its about reources protecting, i would say its rewarding as well as u managed to test your base and see that most attacks are limited to less than 100K loot lost per attack - even though your TH is inside (which is what I'm doing in Masters 2/3 now). But of course, most farmers see it differently since resource protecting means having TH outside in the first place most of the time.
2. As for the MM policy - not sure if 6 attacks in 30 mins is normal but there are too many factors to consider. I.e time of the day, number of players, cup range, resources available etc. Like someone pointed out - perhaps its the tombstones and the resources that attracted those back-to-back attacks that u where getting.
However i do agree with u some comments on this thread is truly unnecessary and un-called for. Well... Thats life.. We cant please everybody eh? :rolleyes:
