Movie trailer tickets stopped when I.....

....bought diamonds. I had been getting two tickets every day, like clockwork, from the moment I started playing Hay Day.

A few days ago I responded to one of those "X diamonds for 99 cents" special offers, first time I'd ever purchased anything.

That evening I didn't receive my movie ticket, nor have I received one since then.

I know people say there is no connection, that they've purchased stuff with no adverse effects....but honestly, at least for me, the timing is just too perfect to be coincidence. Oh, well, easy come, easy go, I guess! :)

If one wanted to be a conspiracist, one would say ... why would they keep giving you free diamonds, when you've proven yourself willing to pay for them? :p

I have noticed similar things. Since I started buying diamonds I have got fewer diamonds on my mine, for instance.

I also lost my movie ticket right after purchasing a small bag of diamonds for the first time.
Some say movie ticket stops at certain level or after certain days, or after you claim certain number of diamonds. I believe none of those explanations. My friend and I started Hay Day together, and she is still getting the ticket as of today because she was never tempted to take that 60-min special offer.

Mine also stopped after the first time I purchased diamonds with that same deal.

Mine also stop when I bough my first diamond package. :p

Having heard this rumor in the past, I also am afraid to purchase diamonds. One more thing I have noticed--if I decline to watch the "movie ticket" ad (open it but click off, or don't finish watching, even if due to a connection problem), I don't get another one for several days, at a minimum.

Same happened here. The boy I babysit purchased a bag (he can't read) & that was it. I fixed it that he can't do it again but its too late for my tickets. Upsets me VERY MUCH. My son plays & gets average of 3 diamonds a day between tickets, tool boxes & wheel. I get NONE.

Well I know for a fact the SC certainly won't stop my movie tickets once I purchase diamonds !!!!!

Nearly 2 years of playing HD and the only way I've ever experienced a glimpse of the movie tickets is by hijacking the kids iPads :p

So I say to you lovely farmers.... Be thankful & grateful of what you've had , as some of us have never had pleasure:p

i prefer to think the movie tickets are a big hoax, well, at least it makes me feel better...lol

Good to know! I have a new farm on the IPhone which has movie tickets. Never had any in my IPad.

I get at least 2 each day and always have done:)
I have never bought any diamonds though so cannot test the theory:p

This happened to me too! I spent 1.99 offers on diamonds and no movie tickets have appeared in weeks! I usually had one everyday, I know that players are randomly chosen, but could this be a flaw? If so, SC, FOX IT!

lol. The number of ppl that confirmed it in this thread went over the roof. I think it's less likely a coincidence now. :p

Welp....I should not complain about it much since some ppl didn't get it in the first place.

I also have the same problem, i bought the special diamond and never get the movie trailer. why the supcell not answer us for this problem. At least fix it, we need the fairplay here

Interesting.....I did not know this would happen. My farm does not get them, but my son's farm used to get movie tickets. We, too, bought diamonds a while back when they offered us a special deal. I've been wondering what happened to the movie trailers.

My husband and I also quit getting movie tickets on our accounts when we bought the 80% off diamond deal. We both started "baby" farms that we don't buy diamonds for and get tickets every day on those. I'm more disappointed that every diamond deal past the first one has been terrible. I haven't been tempted in the slightest to take advantage of any of them. I would have snapped up any 60%+ off sales, but since that initial purchase I only get offered maybe 15% off maximum every other week at best. Makes me wish I hadn't taken advantage of that first sale now, in the long run it probably wasn't worth losing the daily movie tickets for the 130 diamonds I bought. :(

These comments are from a thread about farmers finding less diamonds from various sources. The point in quoting these farmers is to show that some farmers have been getting diamonds from mystery chests regularly. My farm gets the tickets, but it is very rare for diamonds to show up in mystery chests; at most once a week, but more like once every two or three weeks.

The number of diamonds may even out some if the game is programmed for some farms to get diamonds regularly from tickets and some farms to find them more commonly in chests.

I think mystery chest diamonds are down too. Before I could always get 3 chests of 5 a day by trying every farm I visited. Now I may find just one every other day or so, and nothing has changed about my playing style, so...

Suniup, as one of the quotes you used was mine (which I didn't mind BTW:)), let me add this bit of info too. I've been playing for over a year now & from day one, I've gotten at least 3 movie tickets daily. I've never bought diamonds, discounted or otherwise, & in light of the fact many people do say that free ones stop after doing so, probably never will. (Being on a lean RL budget also has something to do with my decision!)

But my point is, by getting both tickets & finding mystery chest diamonds daily, that puts some holes in your theory that things even out by some farmers getting more of one over the other. I agree that the answer is in the programming, but I don't think it's a deliberate statistical code that's been input, but rather some algorithmic random generator..., in essence, luck of the draw for some players. I certainly feel very lucky for having gotten what I have, & hope it continues!

I used to get movie tickets when I first started playing. As soon as I bought some diamonds on a discount, they stopped. I recently started a baby farm on another device and I get movie tickets there. Won't be buying diamonds on the baby farm! :rolleyes:

Suniup, as the other quote u used was mine, I would also like to add a bit of info :)

I spend roughly 80% of my playing time hunting in the paper for premiums and expansion items. Every single ad I click on, I would make sure to tap on the lock box if available. Being that I tap on hundreds daily, chances are one of those lock boxes will contain diamonds. It's like baseball, the more at bats u take, the more likely ur next hit will be a home run (assuming ur a decent ball player). Point being, the probability of getting a box with diamonds in them is dramatically increased with a larger sample size. I don't think it has anything to do with having the movie ticket or not. That's why it's frustrating to know that since my time in the DD hasn't changed, the probability of getting diamonds from the boxes has, since the update.
