My suggestion list: how to improve HayDay
I have not posted my suggestion list for quite some time, so here is an updated version. Some are major, some are minor, and the list is not in any particular priority. Some are my thoughts, some are good ideas that others have already posted.
1. Add a tool shed. The capacity of the tool shed would be exactly the amount of each item that you need for your next upgrade. If you want to keep extras around for whatever reason, you have to keep them in the barn.
2. Hire Tom for a specific number of trips, not a specific length of time. This makes Tom more useful and reduces the obsession with checking in on him every two hours, day or night.
3. Make the maximum number of horses 9, rather than 8. That ninth one could be something special, like a dressage horse, Przewalski horse, or unicorn.
4. Cherry pie.
5. Add chili to the soup maker. Many variations are possible, including plain, with cheese, with meat, with potatoes, with corn. This would provide an outlet for some of the relatively underutilized mid-growth-length crops.
6. Add a request box to the road side store. You get to ask for 1 item every so often and offer a price for it. People can stop buy and fill it if they like your offer.
7. Add help flags to the followers list. Make your followers appear in your help flag list.
8. Add "next follower" and "previous follower" buttons to your RSS when you are browsing through your followers (just like they have for the friends).
9. We should have a "short list" (or "favorites" list) of friends and followers that we can add people to. Can set a maximum number on this, like 20.
10. Cheap items that are needed in bulk should be able to be sold in quantities of up to 25. Such as wheat and other first page crops, bread, rice, popcorn...
11. Reset the balance of ores coming out of the mine to give less gold. Right now, the ore production does not seem to be matched to the market for products derived from them. Either that, or send more truck orders for gold bars.
12. When feeding your livestock, the feed should be greyed out if you have no animals in that pen that need feeding. To reduce confusion as to whether any animals need feeding or not. The way the pet feeding works is the correct way to do it.
13. When you have a lot of friends, the friends tab scrolls extremely slowly. They need to come up with a solution to this. Either suppress the avatars, add a way to skip ahead by 10 or 20, add a way to skip to level 20/30/40/50 etc, or add a proportional slider bar. Anything. It is really broken, as it is now.
14. Remove the "frenz" pig!!!!! That's the number one thing I hate about the game. While you are at it, remove the facebook link from the friends tab. That's the number two thing I hate about the game.
15. Reset the balance of tools and expansion materials people "find" to be closer to random, and not so permanently unbalanced. The unbalance is a major source of grief in this game, just read the forums and you'll see.
16. Every 5000 boat points should get you a big prize, like 10 diamonds.
17. Rare fish should be a little easier to catch. For example, there should be a small chance of catching one in your fishing net, instead of just the "worm" catchable fishes.
18. Lobsters are underutilized. Please think of some more products that use lobsters, like kebabs for the grill.
19. The production machines that offer only 3 products should be expanded.
20. Goat milk is underutilized. I have two suggestions--either feed it to the cats for extra points, or make it into yogurt and open up a line of yogurt products.
21. You should be able to spend your "thank you" notes in the category of your choice: coins/vouchers/XP, decorations, tools, premium products. All would have a small probability of giving you diamonds.
22. Greg should sell you really useful things, like soy sauce and cake, or a really decent quantity of sugar or cream, and more tools. Not the pathetic junk he offers now.
23. Caramel popcorn.
24. Most of the achievements could benefit from a fourth level.
25. Lemonade.
I will add more as I think of them!
