I personally try to purchase a 1 week shield (250 gems) every month-half since it has to cool down. Then I continue to gem my resources. Do a lot of others do this? Thanks

I'm pretty sure nobody (except champions) gem shields unless they are going for vacation or something. :rolleyes::cool:
I'm farming and still lose between 150k-300k a defense if I have 2 million in my elixir storage. Stopping 2 attacks a day on average of saving 200k elixir a day...NOT to mention coins is around saving 1.4 million coins/elixir for spending the 250 gems on the shield. Of which it costs me 11 gems a piece a day to boost my resourcesQuote:

I bought a one week shield once.
Well actually my 2 year old daughter bought it in the one second I took my eye off of her one day.
I broke it 6 minutes into the shield, lol. gems well spent, lol.

I think most of us can think of better ways to spend gems. The only time I would consider purchasing a shield would be if I were going away for awhile such as vacation.
