Lemons and smoothies

I have not had a single request for boat orders, little people buyers or board orders for lemons, lemon products or smoothies since the upgrade and my purchasing of the smoothly maker? In addition I cannot give away smoothies, lemons or lemon curd. I try selling them at less than default price and still no takers. Tom eventually buys them. I notice a ton of other shops with smoothies and curd just sitting unsold. So is anybody else having this problem? It feels like they added the lemon products and smoothies but they didn't add them into the rotation of product requests. It seems nobody has any use for them.

I regularly get truck orders for lemon curd and lemon pies, but haven't seen a boat order for either, or an order of any description for lemon cake. I get the occasional order for smoothies, but they are very rare. I have seen a lot of smoothies for sale, which is not surprising considering they only use fruit and veg, and no premium ingredients (unless the last one does, I don't have that yet). They seem to be the new woollen goods.

I keep posting in our NH "Does anyone need any SMOOTHIES..??" The answer is always a resounding NO.!! lol. I thought, like others, that they would be popular, but it's not the case atm..

I thought the smoothies would be popular too, when I sell mine I mark them down a lot...so far they don't stay in my store for too long.

What makes it so bad is you end up with a big supply of them if you are trying to keep the smoothie machine running 24/7 in order to master it:p......maybe there will be a little people event (hint, hint) soon and they can but them;):D

I think they are sitting in RSS because a lot of people are not at a high enough level to buy them. I always advertise them and they NEVER just sit there. It doesn't usually sell instantly, but within a half hour or so. And for a LOT of money, too. Over $5000 for the red smoothies (batch of 10).

I have had boats for berry and green smoothies, lemon pie and lemon curd. I just sent off a berry smoothie one asking for one item in esch crate. When I had the green smoothie one it was also one in each crate. With respect to the lemon curd I have had a boat order twice and it asked for two in each crate and one in each the next time. As for the lemon pie it has always been one in each. Can't remember the xp or coins though but my next boat asks for lemon pie so I'll take notice this time.

Edit: for anyone who is interested, I was asked for 1 lemon pie in each crate, 229 coins and 221 xp.

I have not had many, but yes I have had both boat and truck requests for smoothies, lemon pies, and lemon cakes. I have a hard time keeping enough lemon pies and lemon cakes in stock. My smoothies are selling moderately quickly at the store, unadvertised. I suspect that ads for smoothies are not served up to people who are not at the appropriate level, which limits the exposure of your whole store if you advertize them. On the other hand, if you see an ad for smoothies in the newspaper, you are virtually guaranteed to have that store all to yourself!

Advertized 5 berry smoothies about an hour ago, also had 10 duct tape at max price in shop (non advertized). It took at least 30 minutes to get bought (the tape), probably by someone I just helped through the newspaper.
Last time I advertized lemon, it sat there for a long long time too, ended up bought by my GC friends.

Now there are lot of people advertising, it seems we need to lengthen the time between free ad. An automatic queue system based on how many ads being placed ?

I don't know about smoothies, but during the last truck event anything lemon gave very high XP!

I often think that it would be nice if there was more demand for higher level products, such as smoothies, salads, sushi and less emphasis on lower level ones such as woollies, popcorn, carrot pie etc, and of corse, dairy and sugar mill products. it seems as though truck and boat orders don't adjust as we level up. I have trouble keeping my higher level machines in production, because of the glut of unwanted products, such as smoothies, that accumulates as a result.

Smoothies don't move out of my RSS very fast because all my neighbors at smoothie levels have so many in their shops already. Even if I advertise them it takes awhile. And lemons don't sell very fast either. But lemon curd always sells out of my shop fast. I don't have lemon pie unlocked yet, but I'm really close to leveling up to lemon pies.

Well Gymgirl, we are neighbors so next time you need some lemon curd or smoothies just drop over! I will be glad to let you have them. I am not at the level to make pies and cake yet but soon!)
