Seven simple ideas that will never happen

Honestly, I agree with you. I know that makes me a hypocrite, I just honestly can't come up with another reason behind some of these simple things not being done. I am not a programmer, so please correct me if I am wrong, but they don't seem like large tasks to accomplish.

As as a serious question, do you have any opinion on why some of these things haven't been changed? Any person who has played this game for a decent amount of time(th9/10) has misclicked a barb and rage-failed or had to wait long times for spells with a complete army, even boosted. The only other reasoning I could see is that supercell doesn't play their own game, which is asinine.

My guess is, the list of things they want to accomplish is long and they don't have a ton of developers. The question most likely isn't, "Why won't SC do these things?". Instead it's, "Which things would you like to see sooner?" I think a lot of people have the impression that lots of things are accomplished from update to update. For some items, that is perhaps true; but for others they probably represent months of design, development, qa, and tweaking.

Also remember how much money is riding on this game. Changes that seem trivial to us probably require serious vetting before they can even be considered. Would you haphazardly add changes to a game that was making you millions of dollars a day?

Here's my opinion on why they aren't added.

1. How would you drop troops on purpose if they're greyed out. You'd have people complaining about that and even if you added an on off toggle you would still have people complaining. Don't mess with what works.

2. I asked this question and actually got a response from SC. Spells don't give full refunds so queueing spells will result in tons of cancelled spells. I still want this.

3. Then people would accidentally end them and fill up the forums with complaints asking for a refund.

4. They already said they don't want to give us infinite easy free loot.

5. They probably can't be bothered but I would like this.

6. Name a large, successful game that tells everyone what they're doing months in advance. Not many. And plans change so they don't want to tell people then have to change it because then...you guessed it...tons of people would complain.

7. Why not just have them play the whole game for you? Part of playing the game is finding where the loot is.

Some of these ideas are great actually. Pausing boosts would be great. Timer for kickoff. Spells queue-able yes pls.

I would like the ability to queue spells since they are becoming the more time consuming aspect of my army comps. I feel like they could make these small improvements but would rather use time on bigger projects to satisfy more customers rather than a small group that wants something improved.

Slightly OT but I don't understand why the developer team is small when the game is such a success and bring enormous income. Let's keep players happy instead of inviting copies.

This one feels like an easy add to me... and it can't be making them as much money as it would keep their customers happy

No, not grey them out for sure. But they could not have any units preselected so that you actually have to tap a unit before you can place one. I am not concerned about this however, as I rarely drop by accident.

The team is small because that is their business model. They believe (rightly so) that a smaller team can work better ... more quality concepts can make it out the door. With large teams comes a critical mass with differing opinions, and the team can gridlock with conflicting directions. In the end, you get less done with more people and the company can become bloated and inefficient.

I may have been confusing. I meant to have no troop selected and you have to select a troop to deploy before raiding. So if you did not select a troop and clicked, nothing would be deployed. This is a touchscreen game, many times troops can be deployed trying to scroll around a base.
