Revenge is SOOO sweet.

So I got triple zapped by some guy and he took a whopping 421 DE from me.

My biggest objection to DE zappers is that its generally just not an efficient means of getting DE, but it doesn't upset me too much...certainly not the way some people cry about it.

But I do take a closer look at revenging zappers because its generally a clue that they're poor at strategy and tend to have bad bases, etc.

So I was looking at this guy and, as expected, his base was ♥♥♥♥. DE totally easy to get to. Alas he only had 280, which I wasn't going to trouble myself getting, even though I could do it at little cost/effort. But then I checked his CC and he had a Level 3 drag! That sealed it...I love killing drags. Love it, love it love it. It's really one of my favorite parts of raiding. I think there should be an achievement: Dragon Slayer! I'd be well on my way to the 5000 mark...seriously, that's how much I love killing drags!

But here's the best part...after I got the drag out I needed to lure it to a corner to kill it with my 12 archers and 3 minions. And ....the barb I dropped in the corner to lure the drag called in a Santa Strike!!!!

Ha! That's what you get for zapping!! (for 420 DE at least...I zapped my share at TH7, and even now if there's 2500 available I'm not too proud to drop some lightning)

IKR! I stumbled across his base and dropped cups on him without second thought but then upon recollection I noticed it was Colonel from the forums. I even told him about it and how does he repay me? He wastes 4 lightning spells on like 1000 DE:cool:

First of all, you're exaggerating a bit. I can only carry 3 spells and they're only level 4 so I've never gotten 1000 DE from a zap. Probably hit you for around 650-700.

As I said in the original post my problem with zapping is that its generally inefficient. 1 rage and some tier 1 troops can generally get you 2x the DE as 3 lightnings. There are times however, when it IS the most efficient way of getting DE. Early TH7, its close to the only way to get your BK and minions upgraded in a reasonable amount of time.

Another time when its a highly efficient way to get DE is right before I'm going to bed. I don't care about the elixir cost, its just the training time of the lightning. But right before I'm going to sleep spells can cook all night. Leaving 3 cooked spells sitting in my quiver is just stupid.

So right before I sign-off, if I've got spells cooked, I go through my revenge list with VERY low standards for what I'll use lightning on, which is what happened with Gamelover. Those THREE lightning spells were not wasted, they were, in fact very very efficiently used. Especially at sub-200 when I'd have to look FOREVER to find a base with 2500 DE.

At the bottom of my revenge list there was someone with 400K of each resource and 2K DE. I was like "OK......". Took him out and enjoyed that revenge of sweetness.

I revenged a gemmed th10 the other day in masters and got 600k gold 500k elixer and 1k de. Best revenge ever hahaha

I love revenging the innocent people who give me shields. There is no point in doing it, but I love completely destroying their base, even if there are no resources.

i don't revenge unless someone sets off my santa strike or pumpkin how nice!
