Trying to get the hang of this trophy count and the battles I end up in.
I though I read somewhere that the higher the Town Hall and the amount of trophies you have, the more difficult the battles/people are. Is this correct? That's why I have people drop off 1 unit and loose to me sometimes, or so I assumed. So how do you know when it's too many trophies?
having a higher town hall makes battles easier, but higher trophies makes it harder. people drop trophies on you, so that they can get to a lower cup range for better (and easier) loot. you you're too high when loot is amazing, but winning is very hard and you get smashed every time on defense.
Your town hall level has nothing to do with matchmaking as far as I know. As you go up in trophies, in general, the bases that are available will be harder.
People that drop one troop then surrender are probably trying to drop trophies quickly.
For me, I think I am too high in trophies when I begin to lose more attacks than I win. You could also compare your base to the bases you find while you are searching for an attack, but, at the moment, offense seems to be more important than your bases defenses.
I set up my defense first. I think it does very well for only being TH6. In the last two weeks weeks I have only lost 8 defenses, out of those 8 only 3 were 100%(And against very high level/amount of troops) and the rest were only 1 star. Then I have 16 out right wins, with 4 against people that just drop 1 unit. I only have two more upgrades to do, then all my defenses will be max for this level. So I figured a little offense wouldn't hurt.Quote:

Farmers drop trophies all the time to get to bases with less trophies, which are typically weaker bases and thus easier to loot or lootable with a cheaper army.
I have a farming base so I expect to lose defenses regardless of trophies. My trophy range depends on what I need. I stay between 1400 and 1550 when looking for gold, 1550+ if focusing on DE.
