I'm still a fairly new TH9. I've upgraded Archers, Giants, and Healer to Max and Hogs to level 4. I've been hearing that a lot of people like using the Balloon/Minion attack. Are the balloons really that good. Just looking for some helpful insight. In my next push I'm really hoping to hit Master.
Personally i've found that once you get to masters 3 nearly everyone has their crossbows set to ground only so it gives you an air advantage, i look for bases that have their 2 inferno towers close enough to get with one freeze spell and you can pretty much 2 star any base
Yes they are that good, but I would still do barbs and spells you use first.
20-30 ballons level 6 + minions level 4-5-6 + heal/rage spell... Will allow you as th9 to 1-2 star even moderate developed Th 10's and 2-3 star most th 9's. ( just skip when x bows are pointing up and/or when wiz towers are maxed and/or when AD is very central)
I know of no other army, at the same cost and 30-40 min training time, that can do the same.
By the way: i also love this army for farming: because with few balloons as meat shield and the minions behind .. You can do a collector raid ( using only half your troops) or go full in to get 200-400/200-400 from well protected number of storages.
