Can you explain where you got the 17 and 480?

I just took the number I still needed divided by the number of smelters (5) and multiplied by the time to make each bar. 8 for just silver or I used your 12 for an average.. That got me the hours needed and I could figure the days by dividing by 24.

I know your original equation included mastery but since I was able to zero that out it doesn't figure in? Just curious. I got the roughly the same number using both equations but mine doesn't need a calculator.

Again. Not saying yours is wrong, I just wonder what you were figuring in.

Oh that two number is the result of trying to simplify the equation as much as possible. After some multiplying and dividing, that two number got changed into this form.

That 480 is originally coming from 24(24 hours per day).
As for 17, I take into consideration that you make thing 15% faster after you reach your 3rd mastery. So it's 85%(100-15) production time. 85/100=17/20.

I am also still working on my smelter achievements but the one that seems to be taking longest is goat goader, this is entirely my fault as until recently I only had 4 goats but level 3 is taking a ridiculous length of time.

This is cool. We should get an equation sticky going.

This is wayyyy cool. Going to plug n chug my numbers in later for sure! :)

Oh. It's not that complicated. You just substitute some variables with a number. All you have to do after that is to use a calculator.

(3M+17AB)/480S

I can give some example calculation here.
In your case....
You have 1000 bars to go so A=1000.
I guess you complete your mastery at this point so M=0
You have 5 smelters so S=5
I don't know which type of bar you usually use. I'll guess that you make only silver bar here so B=8

Now calculator time.
(3M+17AB)/480S
=(3*0 + 17*1000*8)/480*5
= 56.67

That's around 57 days to go for you. :D

Yes. This. Truth right here. I too have this issue.

I don't pay much attention to the achievements and masteries. I get them as they come. Level 94 and still haven't gotten Patronage III, Citizen Kane III, and Turbo Trucker II yet :rolleyes:

Got my first star for the candy machine just last month. Woohoo! Again, level 94 :rolleyes:

so we have 3x0 + 17 x 889 x 12 / 2400 -- 75.565

Looks like 76 days to me -- therefore we should be done on or about 10 Jun 2014. Not as soon as I hoped -- not as far off as I feared :)
