PLEASE Somebody help me. I am in tears

I returned a few days ago after being gone for several months. There were a lot of new features I had to catch up with.

I tried the neighborhood but the people were poaching ( not buying in reasonable amounts) and acting like I didn't have followers to stock for.

Long story short, I left the neighborhood and although none of them became MY followers they are still able to take EVERYTHING I put out.

Somebody help me with this I am begging you!

ONE PERSON from the neighborhood I left has just bought 17 out of 20 items for sale. I'm exhausted with trying to keep store stocked and can't do it anymore.

I just cannot do this anymore.

:-( I don't know, Kathy, because I haven't joined a neighbourhood yet, but that sounds hard.

I'm pretty sure it's possible to leave a neighbourhood - maybe some of the others will be able to tell you how.

Poaching? They're not poaching, they are buying what you have available for sale through your shop.

If you want to keep certain people from having access to your shop, then you will need to stop helping them.

If you have filled one of their crates, or revived a tree, then you are on their last helpers tab. You will need to wait until they have had enough other helpers so that you no longer appear. Check that they are not following you.

Until then don't out anything in your shop your not willing to let go of. Put loads of wheat or something up.

But please, this is a game, you shouldn't be in tears over this! It's not your job to make sure some random people on a game who happen to be following have access to all sorts of goodies in your shop!! Put some nice things out, sure, but focus on your truck orders, your boat orders, and spend some time expanding your barn and silo. And have FUN!!!!

Sorry but I don't understand what is it that you find so distressing. Anything you put into the RSS (road-side shop) is open to any visitors to buy, whether they are your neighbours from the neighbourhood or just strangers from the newspaper. Once you put it into the shop, you have no control over what they choose to buy. They pay you the price that you set for each item, sounds fair. They can only buy the amount that you chose to put into the shop, sounds fair. Once the shop is empty, there is no rule that forces you to fill the shop up again. You will not be penalised in any manner. Leave it empty? That's your choice. Fill it up again, that's entirely up to you. If you feel you can't keep your store constantly stocked, then take it easy, play the game in a manner that is relaxing to you.

-> For those who don't understand, I am not a grocery store its a roadside stand. A grocery store won't even allow one "buyer" to buy 90% of their items. They will kindly escort you out the door because not enough will be left for their "regular customers"

I enjoy providing for people but when you make me lose followers it is distressing.

When I buy I tend to be reasonable and would never buy Everything...just because it was there.

I will put some wheat and corn out until this SOB is gone.

Dry your tears, Kathy. I totally understand why you are concerned; it threatens your relationship with your followers if nothing is left for your followers to buy, and they may stop following you, something you don't want to happen. Despite what others may say on this forum, it is possible to feel a sense of obligation to your followers, even if you don't know them in RL, or can't communicate with them within the game. Don't let anyone bully you into believing that your feelings aren't valid.

Did you "friend" any of the people from your old neighbourhood? If so, delete them from your friends list. If not, then you will just have to be strong and patient until you fall off their "Last Helper" list. Try putting up nothing but eggs at max price for a few days, or leave your RRS empty, or don't collect the coins from your last lot of items for sale so that they only see the "sold" sign for a few days. Hopefully that will deter them.

Some neighbourhoods do work well, but some people join a neighbourhood just so they have access to rare items put up by trusting neighbours. Be careful next time you join a neighbourhood, that you are joining a stable group of like-minded people that can't be infiltrated by opportunists such as the ones you encountered in your old neighbourhood.

If your nh players you left are not very active, they can still access your farm if the '<Your farm name> has left the neighbourhood' still appears in the chat on that nh, they can visit you.

How ago did this incident happen?

I joined for a few days and then left. For the past two days (48 hours) some of them still come around. Last incident was immediately before coming here. When I was in the neighborhood I did help, because I use Tom and all my slots are bought on production.

The posters above both gave great advice though!

Hello. I also understand your distress. I hope that the person is worked off your help list soon and that you find a neighborhood that is more respectful of the way you play.
