Lower hitpoints than what was stated on the attributes of a troop?

I was watching a replay of one of my defences, when i noticed my level 6 wizard tower killed a solo level 6 wizard with 4 shots. I thought this can't be right? so i did a some calculations. Since i don't have level 6 wizards at the moment, i used my level 5 wizard for comparison.

A) LEVEL 6 WIZARD TOWER: 32 DPS (damage per second)

B) LEVEL 5 WIZARD TROOP: 156 Hitpoints

Now, in order for item A) to kill item B)

- 32dps x 5 shots = 160 DPS (enough to kill B since B =156 hitpoints)

Bear in mind, there were no other defences attacking the level 6 wizard. Just my Wiz tower.

Going back to my observation. Wouldn't it take more shots to kill a level 6 wizard?

DPS is damage per second NOT damage per shot. it does more then 32 damage per shot. 41.6 actually. because it attacks slower then 1 time per second.

It's really complicated, and I don't know the full answer, but I'll try to explain it as best as I can. Cannons, archer towers, and air defense fire every second (something like that), and so their DPS and their DPH are the same. Do you know how a mortar says 5,6,7, etc. damage, but that's not really how much damage it does? It's because that's the DPS (damage per second stat). Because the mortar is so slow, it only fires every 5 seconds, so you have to multiply the DPS stat by 5 to get the DPH (damage per hit) in this case. In the time it "reloads", it does no damage, but to make the DPS stat accurate, they have to include that down time, and so technically it does 5,6,7,etc. damage per second, though actually does more per hit, for example 25,30,35, etc. damage, but doesn't deal damage in the down time. This is the case for the wizard tower also, it doesn't fire every second, it fires slower, so for example if it says it's doing 32 DPS, you have to multiply that by the time it takes for it to fire a shot. Every "wizard blast" does more damage then 32, but takes longer than 1 second to fire, so to have an accurate DPS, they have to include that down time, so in the time it doesn't fire, the DPS still factors that in, even though the wizard tower doesn't fire every second. The stats of the troops are correct, it's just the defense damage that differs because of some things not firing every second, and taking more time to fire. Sorry, that was crazy confusing, hopefully someone can explain it better.

oh ok. i just timed the wiz tower and came up with an average time of 1.5secs. it may be lower but definitely not higher.
