i'd say get aq asap

IME you will need to save for TH9 upgrades (esp if you maxed at TH8) and X-bows help in that regard a lot.
AQ, X-Bow, (first builder available) then make all the small stuff that is built in under 12 hrs with any remaining builders...
Then I went; Lab, SF, Camps (when builders become available) gotta gear up the offense first! (with the X-bow disclaimer, they are essential to TH9 defense! so why wait?)
If you have the gold, absolutely get the X-bows going rather than other defenses. But other posters are right - AQ, lab, and camps are vital early on to make farming manageable again. If builders are an issue, build one x-bow at a time.
