Stick with BAM, barch and giant healer as a th8. Once you move to th9 or th10 you might think about using balloonion. I do barch right now for my main army, but im maxed on my elixir upgrades, so I like to do a fun balloonion, or all pekka raid or something crazy every now and then
But if you insists on using this army to increase your skill and/or trying something new, then it's all good. To answer your questions:
How and what to attack?
Go with this: after clearing ememies heroes, and CC troops. Deploy golem > wizard to clear out outside buidlings > wallbreakers > pekka > rest of your wizard. Drop rage and heal whenever see fit, prefer on pekkas.
Should I take care of the heroes when my troops get there or in the beginning?
Beginning. You don't know what's there in the CC, if they have wizards in there, you're screwed.
Army comp? I'm thinking: 2 golems, 2 pekkas, 20 wizards, 5 WB.
Take out some wizards, bring in 10-15 barbs, 10-15 archers, and more wall breakers if you can.
What to expect?
Expect 2* th9, at least half the amount of storages
