My picture not showing up

All my icons disappeared in one fowl swoop. All gone, FB friends the lot.

my friends and followers are all still there and I can read their farm names but I cannot see their icons only see a "gingerbread" icon.

I gave it a couple of days to see if they would return but no.

I've tried fiddling with settings/GC/FB but to no avail, and I'm not going to spend hours following complicated instructions when it seems likely to me that it's a glitch that is out of our hands.

MissSwan my icons have been gone for weeks now! I wish this would get fixed soon bc I am very tired of just looking at the default gingerbread heads!! Takes some of the fun out of playing.

Whew, glad it's not just me. It's been this way for almost a month for me. I tried everything and nothing has worked. Hoping they get it fixed soon!

Not here to complain, just to add that I am also having this issue.

I'd also like to add that ranting at mods won't help our cause; just saying "help me, or fix it" doesn't help HD figure out how to fix it either. That being said and by no means at all trying to be malicious or condescending, posting the device and OS may help them sort things out.

Also when will be the big update that was supposed to come around easter??

I have the same problem, I believe it is IOS issue as I started having the problem after I updated IOS on my device, another indication that it is IOS is that my friend uses Android & she can see my avatar. SC please check it out.

No, they have not given up. This is, apparently, a Facebook issue and there really isn't much that SC can do when it's someone else's property and program. SC is, however, still trying to figure if there is anyway that they can assist FB in fixing this issue.

Since this is annoying but does not prevent HDers from playing (and is not even of SC origins), SC Technical Support is giving priority to issues that DO prevent game play and that they do have control over. It's certainly not fair to demand that an annoying issue of not having an avatar show in a boat crate take precedence over dozens of folks who don't even have a farm to play. If you had a lost farm and were not able to play at all, would you think it's fair for Support to put you aside so they could fuss with annoying issue that's not even their fault and doesn't prevent play?

Folks have a habit of forgetting that there are 3 SC games that Support maintains, that there are hundreds of aspects for those 3 games that MUST be watched 24 hours a day, that equipment must be maintained and breakdowns repaired, that issues with 3rd party partners (ie, FB and GC) cause problems that they have to try and find go arounds for because they have no control over another company's equipment, that there are thousands of Support tickets daily that must be investigated and the technical issues handled (such as lost farms/villages/bases, graphics issue, game bugs, device problems, etc, etc.). Folks lose sight of the big picture of what it takes to keep just HD up and running for the majority of farmers, let alone 2 other games, one of which is has 5-7 times as many players as HD.

If this was your kid's school and his locker door stuck, but they were still able to open and close it and use the locker properly, should the custodial staff fix that first rather than the locker in the next hall that won't open at all, or the leaky roof the prevents an entire classroom from being usable, or the clogged toilets on the first floor that is a health hazard, or the broken air conditioner that could close down the entire school if it can't be quickly fixed? SC's priorities may not match what you think they should be, but if they didn't handle the priorities properly as required for 3 games that multiple millions of folks play, you'd have more to worry about than not seeing an avatar on a crate.

Also, just like SC's technical staff, the team of volunteer moderators have a multitude of responsibilities covering 3 forums, several thousands of members, and hundreds of threads daily. I'm afraid we cannot give daily updates to each and every thread as much as we would love to to do just that. We do our best to post when we can and/or when we actually have a status change to give.

I see FB avatar again for a while now: myself, neighbor's, random people from the Daily Dirt....

Also noticed that my FB profile has been switched to the new layout. (not sure it has anything to do with the avatar not showing, I don't connect to FB every day)

First of all, I do appreciate the effort en time you moderators put into this forum. No doubt about that.
Just wanted to react, not start a flameware, but just to give my view on the subject 'cause I see thing a little different' .

From an IT and support perspective, people who can't access their farm anymore should have priority at a support-desk and helped asap. However, when from inside a game connections are made to other services (eg Facebook) and that doesn't work anymore, that is not a support matter. To me, with a little insight into IT organizations, this is a matter for development and should be treated as such. Maybe even resulting into a new revision of the game.
Consequences of relying on other services (facebook, GC) results in this kind of crossreferences and maybe outages because there is no control on what the other service is changing.

In respect to that, when I read in articles that Supercell made ' hundreds of millions of dollars' last year, I think we, the gamers, might have a little more game-support than as to what they are showing us now. Supercell isn't a small startup anymore with a nice little game that we as a community, need to give some slack from time to time. It's all about $$$ when talking about that kind of revenue.

Yep, I might stop playing the game if I find the support to inadequate. I might just do that. But as I told earlier, if they are busy with the next revision and things are fixed, that's an answer too. Just be open...

In our chat room we joke about us wnating to see our pics, but we can't anymore why? It is not GC glitch, it's not a FB glitch it has to be within SC servers, please fix.




In the friends,neighborhood,followers boxes below only some peoples pics show ,half of them are missing .
and when I fill crates on the boats that I help people , the pics are also not on the crates .
and I have asked some people if they have the same problem and they say yes.
Please can you have a look at that .
