So, I've been working on this for over a year, and finally woke up this morning with my 40th pine tree. They are all on the edge of my base, fully on the long grass and I think it looks pretty cool, so I'm sharing a pic. Yes, I chopped down the xmas trees from 2012 and 2013 as they didn't land in the right spot.

That gives me a 24-32hr buffer, just in case i cant get on, before i lose out on the next obstacle. No sense cutting off free gems, especially not with the gem box in the next update. That is beautiful! I have 34 on the outside edge. Would be 35 if the 2013 xmas tree was moved one space, I'll eventually have to chop it down. I emailed SC asking if they could move it over... But alas they wouldn't lol

Wow I wish I had the patientence for this. I'm working on just geting random stuff in my border and it actualy looks kinda okay.
Yea the leader of are clan is doing the same thing think he has around 30 atm!
Awesome Nate! I'm actually in the middle of the same process and have 30 on the edge atm, 2 of them being this years X-Mas tree. Shame I cut down the 2012 ones! I heard you got 1,000 gems and y'know...global doesn't always tell the truth.:rolleyes:

No tips Stitch, I think I was stuck on 39 for what seems like forever. I tried the strategic placement of flower beds along the edges, but eventually sold those for the same reason. Its just patience.Quote:

Mrs Thorn has decided Maples (big trees) are pretty so they are being saved. We have three in the village now.
I'm also saving Mushrooms for use later. Got two of those.
The key to keeping the gems flowing will be to make sure there is always space for more obstacles to spawn.
I don't how good it is missing out on new obstacles for gems but it does indeed look very cool.
