I am a town hall 7 and I am in need of a good base. I am currently around 1200 cups, but I am about to start a push to join crystal (would that be possible?) to get the achievement and get some good DE. I want a hybrid/ trophy hunting base. I dont want resources exposed. Also, I need a good army comp for pushing, right now I am town hall sniping with archers and occasionally a few minions if there is only a cannon.

With my experience, having a farming base is actually better for trophy hunting at th 7/8. Here's why:
Lower level people want to attack you, so there's less chance of a 2 star
People usually are satisfied with a one star from the town hall
Resources are protected, so people looking for loot are less likely to attack you

this is my base , i only got stomped by hog or mass wizzards - healer, the rest usually just snipe th and leave ;)

I used this base when I was TH7 and it did a decent job. I normally farmed around 1400-1700 trophies. Against level 6 troops it would get 2-starred and rarely 3-star. Most of the time they would just get the elixir from the storages and not survive to get the gold/DE.
