The terminator, a TH8 base

Hi everyone, I'm here with a new TH8 base i have created! So far it has been really successful!

Before getting too explaining the base, here it is (this is the original version, i might try to make some changes and stuff like that):

This is the base without buildings:

The base has a lot of good points:

-It is symmetrical, triangular mortars (black), AD's (yellow) and WT's (red) :

-Clan castle is centralized
-storages are all well protected except one (elixir storage)
-traps are well placed (except the giant bomb at the top where i dont know where to put (advice is needed:P)) :

-WT's are able to target every storage (good against swarms of goblins or barch) (sorry for bad editing

-mortars/AD's cover pretty much all the base
-TH is far from base which doesn't afraid those TH snipers that we love :P
-not ONE X-junction (so proud of myself :P)
- *open to other stuff you like from the base*


But every base has some cons :(, here are some i found:

-T-junctions that I'm trying to fix (note that the ones on the exterior don't disturb me since the two compartments are in one actually :) )
- not 4 sided symmetrical that some people like
-not centralized BK (i really don't mind, but some people like that)
- not everyone likes this kind of vault (i like it btw ;) )
-*open to other cons that you can find*

Wow I made a trend, I made a base a while ago, called it the merry-go-round, didnt get much repliea, but got viewed a lot, sinc ethen, i see it being used everywhere for the type of base I made

It looks awesome man! One thing I see that is one part of the CONs is when your gold storage is almost full and your dark elixir is half amount of the max (which means you have tons of loot). Once the enemy gets into the middle of your base, he could just spam his goblins all the way to the middle of your base and get all 2 gold storages and your DE (worse case scenario he could drop a rage or healing spell). But it's gonna be hard for a TH8 and below to get there :D But of course, no TH8 with a superb design can prevent a TH9 full on attack :o Nice Job Man! :rolleyes:

good going man..loving the many variations in the bases and fantastic effort put in..:D:)

just one thing tho it looks a bit stuffed to me... i think it might go down against the hogs :(...maybe you can try putting in another variation with some more breathing room and some funnelling thrown in? would love to see that..will keep an eye on this one!:)

Thx for the comment! I will try to make one anti-hog base with some funneling (but im not the most experienced in this kind of base :P)

Hi everyone! As I said in my post above, i would do the anti-hog version.... Well, i just finished it (see OP for the base):D

this new base is almost not related to the original base (i usually do the same core when its related). But i will still call them "terminator, the anti-hog version":p

I like how it is symmetrical, maybe you could put the giant bombs behind the upper two archer towers? Move them further out if possible.

Thanks for the comment! I wasnt sure where if i should put the giant bomb there since the base would be less symetrical, but i guess thats where its the most useful!

Updated defence log! This was the first "real" win on my base, which was a mass dragon! I guess every base has its weak spot :P! And if you want, theres always the base to prevent air attacks :P

It's a nice farming base. But I like bases with giant bombs inside,that way, u can make bacon with hogs who attack you without having an anti hog base. Can u make a version of the terminator with giant bombs inside?a farming version though.thx. I still like ur other bases though

Do you mean with all the giant bombs inside? Because the original and a lot of variations have two out of three in the base ;)! And yes i could make one with all of them if you want!;)

Hi again everyone! A new 4-sidded symetrical is now out! Btw to let you guys know, all the variant bases are farming and have the same core! For the trophy bases, the core is the same as the first design! The only exception is the anti-hog versions which are a little out of nowhere, but some people were asking so i posted some!;)

I use your original farming version base because to me. It a pretty solid one compared to other (but don't get it wrong. All of your bases design are great, may be some may better than original, who knows... I never test...)

lol I hope all scared to attack me. What I afraid is TH9 people. For my whole revenge lists is TH9 attacker. They have lvl 6 troops, and sometimes using hardcore troops. But most using Barch + Rage spells. I hate this cheap units can get 50%+ of any bases design I use. But let see how this base will hold them. I was in Gold II but too many TH9 so drop to Silver I (hope I get away from Th9 attacker lol).

For now, I am farming. And will reply soon if I got hardcore attacked from Th9 lol

Ya the original is probably the most recomended, but the variations can respond to some peoples request for their base so i made them :P

and for silver 1, you probably wont have lots of problems with th9's!

Hey again everyone! I just finished the TH9 version of the terminator!!!!! This was my first try on a TH9 so it might not be the best... And its not anti hog:( And sorry for no exterior buildings, wanted to continue now but it erased itself :P

He start from the North West of the base, and able to get to the core with just the army composition I list above. Deal 65% of base. Losing 230k gold, 130k Elixers, and BIG LOST to me! is: 829 DE :(

Sorry if the base has disappointed you... But i wasnt sure if the base was effective with fresh TH8's... You might wanna change base and come back with this one when more upgraded... Your choice ;)

So I am a few days away from TH9 and have been trying this out. Here are some screen shots of defenses and an image of what it looks like at pretty close to max. Thanks for the base, I have been very pleased and had fun using it!!!


Oh and most attacks there was at least 500K available in total. I was trying to lure what I could. I'll post more as I am able.

I have no right to disappointing you because I choose to used your design. I knew how to hard to make any bases design, because I had try to make one. And lol. It not very effective like your base. So I am not using people other bases. If work well. Said oh nice, Ty. If not, blaming them. That not me.


It TH9 after all. They got lvl6 troops, and AQ. I think it a huge advantage against TH8. Plus my walls like 49 still level 5, and most defense building not max yet except my mortar & WT.

But this still a great base design to me. I'll try to upgrade my defense, and used it again soon :)

I used this base and lost over 450 de in one raid not a fan of this base, srry

It seems like my base is better used when you are a stronger TH8... Sorry for those disapointed, but for me it worked well so i decided id post it here :P and i really dont mind if you stop using it, ill just keep all the loot:rolleyes:

Am I the only one that feels that this was "inspired" by Ping Fao? Just saying there's a bit of similarity there.
