An idea to tie loot to winning battles in a way different than league bonus
With the incredible, INCREDIBLE amount of hate on the loot situation, here is an idea that would encourage players to attack active players and stay active.
The idea:
1. Triple the amount you can steal out of storages (encourages attacking actives).
2. Set up a similar "Claim Reward" page as the one for Achievements. However, this is for "Reclaiming Resources". You can reclaim up to 75% of all resources lost within a set 24 hour period. You do this through raiding within that 24 hour period.
3. Specifically, you regain 25% loot lost if you win 4 stars within those 24 hours, regain 50% of loot lost if you gain 8 stars within those 24 hours, and you regain 75% loot lost if you gain 16 stars within those 24 hours. (I'm using "stars" as my unit over "trophies" to encourage people to 2-star or 3-star bases)*.
4. After that 24 period resets, you can go to the "Reclaim Rewards" page and receive a bonus that equals 25%, 50%, or 75% of the loot you had lost depending on how much you raided.
*The numbers could be tweaked based on the league you are in, how much loot you lost, how many times you were attacked in the those 24 hours, could be measured in trophies gained not stars won, etc.
The main ideas are:
1. really BEEF UP the amount of loot you can steal from active bases (which might make people care less about the whole "in-active" debate). As a player I like in-actives, but as a rational person I can see how they defeat the purpose of designing a competitive PvP game not a Pv(in-active)P game.
2. provide a way for active players to not be so devastated by being attacked more frequently due to the change in loot available to steal.
3. provide a way to encourage people to actually WIN fights.
