Town hall 5

The only reason to have the town hall inside your base is if you are trophy hunting. Most players don't worry about that although a few clans do like their members to maintain a certain trophy score. For me the game is all about gold and protecting it. As stated above leaving your town hall outside gets you a 12 hour shield when it gets destroyed whilst losing you nothing.

Absolutely agree that trophy hunting is the only reason to protect the town hall over the long term. However, moving your TH inside when you do a base redesign (mainly for TH 8 and 9, though) is a good way to get it tested because it filters out most of the noob attacks. Just thought I would add that.
