Is BAM a th 7 and 9 strategy but not 8?

So when I was TH7, i upgraded minions to lvl 2 and was having great results with BAM. Now that i am th 8, my minions are lvl 4 but it seems alot harder to get alot of resources with it AND also get 50%. Seems like i am always just short a few troops. Now at TH 8, i did not get any more camp space and i am not able to attack and get any loot from th 6 wich has much weaker air D, so maybe thats the reason? Does BAM come back at TH9 with the increased camp space? Just curious, i hope it does, I love the idea of it and the speed but it's just not working like barch is right now.

BTW barbs and archers are alway's maxed instantly for my TH level.

I'd say it's great at th9, good at th8, and not worth it at th7.
