Champions at TH 9. Need help!

Okay so in April 7th my clan (RegulatorsELITE) is having a trophy push. I really want to get to champions for two reasons. One it would make our clan look good ;), and two I want to have the extra 3000 gems for reaching Master then Champ. The last time I trophy pushed was back in December and that was when I was still a noob :p, so I am confident I can reach masters. I do need help on reaching champ though.

My balloons are level 6, and my minions and rage are level 5. Should I use balloonions? Thanks for ideas, and any response is appreciated!!!!

Also, if you have gone to champion yourself please point out specifically how you did it. Or if you know of another thread that has a TH 9 guide to champion, a hyperlink would be MICH appreciated !!!

What level are your heroes? Pekka? Balloonion/miniball might be good though.

My King is level 10, and my Queen is a weak level 2. If the Queen is important I can focus all the de on her and quickly get her up to maybe level 8-10 for trophy push. My Pekkas are level 3, and what is mini ball?

Another name for balloonions I saw someone use. I think balloonions would be good for you, I am sure you might find a guide somewhere on balloonions.
GoWiPe might also be good, GoWiWi too. GoWiWi needs higher level heroes. GoWiPe takes a bit of practice with Pekka's stupid ai.

I think I am getting a hang of balloonions and I started a thread earlier about it. I definitely would not be able to do GoWiWi because that requires at least level 18+ heroes to do successfully. I may try GoWiPe. What level heroes should you have for balloonions? And what level heroes for GoWiPe?

Both sky nine clans (both top 200) have th9's in champions. I looked at their bases and they all use balloonian but I know from experience that it only takes one mistake to ruin a raid, so. My advice to you is that in crystal and masters PERFECT your strategy and what works best for u. And you should be successful my friend

Thanks! I will start practicing balloonions right away (again lol) and will try to master them. So it seems like people agree that balloonions are the way to champ

I'm currently at 2877, still pushing, and here are the advices I can offer you :

As an attacker :

• I use 24 balloons, 50 minions, 2 rages, 1 heal, 1 lightning. All maxed of course, along with lvl 12 AQ and lvl 13 BK.
• Aim one star. If you try to two stars up there, you gonna go into the core, face the multi infernos lvl3, and have a baaaaad time. Use your balloons to destroy AD, AT, WT, an then, just drop one minion/building to get 50% (as an example, my last ten attacks were 9 50%, and 1 50% + exposed TH).
• Bring AT LEAST 3 spells. Those are a huuuuge help, if not mandatory.
• Bring your CC filled with ballons, minions, dragon, wizard or witches.
• If you have to wait 10 minutes for your hero to wake up, wait. If you 49%, get back and they are alive, you'll be mad.
• Lure AQ & CC. If you send all your balloons and lvl 6 wiz get out of the CC, you're gonna have a bad time. Use a lightning spell on the CC (will not kill lvl 6 wiz though). Use the minimum amount of minion that you can, you'll often need the 50 to get 50%.
• Attacking a base without an AQ is a plus.
• If you have to drop your heros, end the battle ASAP after 50%. They sleep way to much else.
• If you are willing to use gems, boosting spell factory/heroes helps a lot (I don't gem but I still got the 1000 from my latest push to Masters)
• With time, you'll learn how many balloons each building/area takes. If not attacked by anything, one balloon will kill one AT. This will help you a lot.
• Remember that up air x bows have a freaking range and will destroy you minions.
• At 49% (happens more than you think!), remember that a lightning spell will destroy a builder hut or an hero base.
• TAKE YOUR TIME. 3 min is very long, especially using baloonions. Lure the queen/CC to a good place with only a few minions, take the time to deploy your troops, see which building you wanna destroy, how many balloons/minion it'll take.
• NEXT. NEXT. NEXT. Until you find a base you're comfortable with. Really. Don't attack a random base because you're bored.
• If you come from farming land, FORGET ABOUT THE LOOT. You'll often see bases offering easy 400k. Don't go if you're not 99% sure you can have a star.
• A lost will cost you probably 26 trophies, so at least 3 attacks, around 3 hours of clashing. Just be sure.

As a defender :

• You'll probably can still win defenses around 2700 if you have a maxed TH9. Else, you'll get attacked and raped very fast (within the next 10 minutes).
• You'll get hogged. Often. Very often. If you don't have an anti-hog base, you'll get 100% each time, and you don't want that. 100% will make you loose around 25 trophies. Mine holds up pretty well, I often only get one starred. The only one who two starred used GoWiWi.
• Have your CC full when you log off, hard to lure, with lvl5+ wiz or witches. This is probably the most important part of your defense.
• If you can, log off with both your heroes awake.
• If you break a shield, be sure that you can win more trophies than the next attacker will take from you.
• Don't hope not to get attacked while your troops are cooking (48 minutes).
