No, TH9 and 10 are amazing for de farming. They have no excuse for not being able to get it. All you need are exposed de drills, or if you are high enough, storages.
You don't need to. It's not the "key" to DE farming.
You can look for bases where it's exposed just like other farming.
I never zapped a DE container and never will. It's just poor form. Now I get zapped but that's okay, I understand people are lazy and don't want to work at the game.

It's ok for the next 30days or so. After that it needs to be taken out of the game. I'm hoping to reap the benefits of zapping without having to suffer the consequences. ;)
