Yes, get it. It is extremely easy to farm the de for at th7. Read up on my guide here:

If you are farming in lower level leagues with little DE it may not be worth the fuss but I personally would highly recommend getting him! Just get to Gold leagues or higher and, of course, get the DE storage up to 20K pronto so U can keep leveling him. :D I'm also TH 7, just turned TH 7 Monday yay (or was it Sunday? Anyhow, recently).
They are SO helpful that I would HIGHLY recommend getting the king (no matter how hard it is to get the de for it)

If you don't want to, don't. But if it is that important, this de farming guide might help. A big easier at TH8 though. Just push as high as you can and linger there.
Why can't that happen at TH8 though, doesn't mean it will take longer. It is just putting off level 5 troops, more storage space, and a de drill just for a BK that you can easily get then.Quote:

F.Y.I. As soon as you get TH8, upgrade the DE drill to max(level 3). You will get like 45 DE per hour from the drill or 1,080 DE per day or even better 32,400 DE per month :)
i rush to th8 big mistake, so i had to upgrade troops before i even got my de storage.
and i upgraded wizzies to 5 instead of my arch n barbs, i screwed my self over but i am back on track, got my barb king 3-4weeks into th8 grinding @ silver 1 / gold 3/2.
But it is not necessary :D but helps alot raiding.

No BK and lv 1 BK is a huge different in your raiding army
After you have your lv 1, then its optional if you wana upgrade it
BK is wonderful, atleast have it at Level 1 before you hit TH8.
Once at TH8 you will be able to farm enough DE to get him up to 10 in no time......

Yes, If you can't get at least 10K DE to purchase your BK then you should learn to raid first in TH7...
Here is the more important question imo, is it better to start upgrading barb king as soon as I hit th8 above level 5 or use the builder to upgrade a defense??

Your BK will be integral in your raids at TH8, also, TH9 will be farming your DE With relative ease so keep large quantities of it isn't prudent. Use that builder to upgrade your BK.Quote:

Its not really necessary. I got Bk soon after I got Th8 as the de drill helped. Now I'm a cool th8.
Its not really necessary, and I even say that you should upgrade to th8 soon, after around 1 month of th7.
