Which is your RSS politics? How do you sell?

Hi:

Since I received your good tips here, about selling everything in my RSS I have managed to get enough coins to open my juicer, my mine and my fishing boat.

I am so proud of myself.

I have been wondering if everybody sells in the same manner as I do, I guess not, so I am asking: how do you sell in your RSS?

This is my method:

I sell very cheap basic goods, as wheat or corn

I sell max price some goods who are very demanded: platinum bars and cheesecakes are sold as hot cakes.

I make some goods which are not found often in other RSS and sell at max price. These include: cheese, sugar, of course SEM, BEM and LEM, syrup, pancakes.



What do you do???

What's the RSS? I keep seeing it but have no idea what it is.

As for how I sell, crops usually go at default price unless its some of the newer ones or ones that take very long to make.
With respect to barn items I usually sell only those hard to find items unless I need space in a rush and then whatever I find in my barn that is taking too much space like 20 popcorns will go for sale. I never ever sell any of the loom products because you can find so many of them everywhere! My machine is never running unless its for a loom event.

When I get the barn full notice, I open the help tab and try to fill all the boats I can. I check the truck board to see if there are high XP orders, then I sell from the top down. When you tap on an item, it automatically puts up ten items or half of what you have whatever is lowest. For the most part I sell that amount at max, since that's what it sells for. And it goes fast for that price. Plus it's easier to go up than down. When it's all mostly gone I do it again. I save my expansion stuff, saws and axes, and soy sauce. Can't seem to get enough of that. I'll sell sugar, jams dairy, fish etc. if I have more than 15 but that rarely if ever happens. I also set aside my next boat items, but everything else goes till I have 150 or so spaces.

I too sell cheap basic goods, wheat and corn usually for 9 and 18 respectively. But what I like to do is sell almost everything I make, I fill boat orders (mine, friends, randoms) and then put everything else in my RSS.

I sold all items at max except for wheat/corn/carrot (I dont sell) and eggs (125 per 10). I like advertising difficult-to-sell items only. Others will often get cleared overnight. I have 21 shop slots, so it is enough for that most of the times.

What is a loom?

What do you need soy sauce for?

Here's what I always do. I'll barely sell anything at all and hoard it up to nearly my maximum barn space. This help a lot with filling my neighbor crate. When my barn is gonna reach it limit, I'll throw everything in my RSS. I will sell as much as I could and only left 1 of each items in my barn. There'll be a lot of premium stuff in there. Dairy, Sugar, Jam, Ice cream, etc. There'll be a huge buying war in my RSS. It's like watching ppl buying thing at a store with a big sale. :p


This only happen once in a few days. It'll give me around 50-100k coins and a few follower after that. ;)

For pricing.
-Crop always goes at 1 coin. I often use RSS to dump any crops that I don't need. It's wheats mostly but there'll be some other crops from time to time.
-I don't sell animal raw products....Well, I have to buy them instead. :p
-B&E, Loom items, chili popcorn get some discount. It takes a lot of time to sell them but it'll actually gone.
-Anything else, a little bit below max price. Make those number a lot more attractive than other store.
For example, 5 lobster soups can be sold at 3060. I'll sell them at 2999. ;)

I sell easy to find crops for default price. I sell other 'rarer' crops for maxed price (soy bean, carrots, chili peppers...). I used to sell crops for 1 coin, but as I expanded my silo, that's not necessary anymore. Plus, visitors always ask for things that I have a lot of and pay way more than I can even sell for in the RSS.

I always have all machines running. I sell what I don't need or have a lot of in the RSS. I always sell at the max price rounded down. That usually attracts more customers, and I'm only selling it for a few less coins.

I never sell any clothing items. No one buys them ever. I only do when I go past a certain limit. Truck and boat orders constantly have them.

Dairy items seem to be very high in demand. I don't sell much dairy because I always a lot of it to make other things like cake and stuff.

A loom is the machine where all wool goods are made, and soy sauce is needed for making sushi on the sushi machine:)

I guess this is how you get so many posts,jumping from one game to another

I rarely/never sell crops in RSS unless it's excess strawberries/cacao/potatoes or wheat for 1 coin when I'm wheating.

I tend to like to hoard alot of products before throwing them all into RSS at one go. Everything is usually on full price unless a neighbour specifically needs something which then I'll sell default (unspoken etiquette in my NH)

I go for high turn over in my RSS instead of having goods in the store for a long time. Similar to most I sell basic crop very cheap and the ones which take longer to grow a little higher. With other stuff anything which is always sold in the DD I sell around default price other stuff higher.

I never understand people getting upset that others buy the items from their RSS and call them 'raiders' I want my stuff to sell and I want to sell it fast so I can put new items into the store.

I noticed in your signature you state that you have trouble getting coins, to get coins ignore the truck orders or the little people visiting your farm.

Most everything is at max price, except few of the slower items, like blue sweaters. I'll discount those a few coins.

I sell eggs at 10 for 175. It's basically to hold my ad, but several times a day, someone buys them. I try to keep some "premium" items in my stand at all times when I'm playing. Jewelry, cake, ice cream, etc.

I also do daily "ore dumps," where I sell the ore that's a side product of my diamond mining. I sell hundreds a day.

I wasn't aware until a few days ago that what you put into your shop will eventually sell to Tom or Greg, so put your loom in action and keep feeding it. When you get 10 put them at the end of your stand for max price. Within 24 hours either Greg or Tom will buy them, AT FULL MAX PRICE. Easy money, and has helped me buy my ice cream maker and juicer in about 4 days. Try it and see. You can make over 2000 just by putting up those blue sweaters.

I don't sell crops but I sell the heck out of chicken feed. Why sell for a penny when you can take two plain crops and turn them into 72 coins in 4 minutes. They will sell out within minutes. Both these tips I learned in my old neighborhood. They work and you will have funds in no time. Keep your animals fed. I won't buy from anyone who has animals flopping around, bloated, or shivering right in front of their farm. If you take from the animal then feed it, keep the farm productive. But that's just me.

The only thing I do different is I sell every thing except crops on groups of two. I never sell max price, I take a few coins off, some people won't buy max price.

Do you think if we picket we can get a third feed mill? Just kidding. You are so right. Feed sells very fast. I hesitate to pass on it most times because I know when I go back,it will be gone.

I sell anything and everything and always at max price. My experience has been that folks don't shop around for price, they see it and buy it so they can get it before someone else does. Expansion materials and basic products like cream, butter, sugars, and cheeses sell very well. I rarely sell produce in the shop unless the roadside visitors aren't buying my wheat or corn and the silo is full. I usually stock my shop three or four times a day. I place an ad after I put the last item up for sale. If the items don't sell quickly, I place additional ads until all available items have ads. I don't collect the coins until I am ready to restock. The multiple ads and not collecting the coins gives visitors a good idea of what you sell and gives you more chances to get followers.

i recommend adding a number of boxes to your shop. I used diamonds to buy a couple boxes before I learned you could get them by adding friends. Several times I went into GameCenter and followed its recommendations for additional friends. I now have over 100 friends; we frequent each other's shop, help with boat orders, and watering.

I sell almost everything at max price....mostly that's just a habit (I don't actually need the coin any more), but my fingers just sort of do it and it's posted to the stand before I realize it, lol. The only thing I remember to reduce is wheat, corn, carrots and now soy if I have any excess in my silo.

Occasionally I will discount other things if I remember in time. I'm a creature of habit on most days.

I believe you get boxes for friends from both sources. The only difference is, your FB friends see your FB profile pic and your real name in the friends bar, and your RRS is named with your first ame as well, like "Jason's Roadside Shop". Your GC friends see your GC username and GC profile pic, and your RSS is named after GC, like "Big_Bad_Wolf's RRS" :rolleyes:.

Don't know whether you'd lose some boxes once you disconnect from FB though. I lost a box after disconnection but my friend somehow managed to keep all his boxes after he removed FB. The only drawback for him is that he'll need to add like 46 new friends to open any new box...

Like Allegra, one of the biggest tips I got from the forum was to sell more in the roadside shop and less to truck orders and visitors and I'm really pleased how well it's going.

But I'm also puzzled. It doesn't make sense to me that so many platers can be buying goods for more than they'll be able to sell them. I know that things are different at the higher levels and that people are buying goods for other reasons such as earning achievements or tokens, but I was wondering if some higher level players could satisfy my curiosity and tell me a bit more. What do you make money from? Why do you buy in the roadside shop and how much do you buy?

I don't know if I qualify for higher level (61 currently), but I buy anything that I can't make quickly enough for whatever I'm doing and I make most of my coins by selling more of the premium stuff: cakes, pies, juice, silo expansion items, ice cream, etc. I sell those at max price. I discount crops like wheat, corn and carrots should I ever have too many of them (usually because I plant a whole bunch, but then get impatient and buy from the DD, lol).

I buy a lot of soy because that takes longer to grow and I usually don't have a lot of time to play at any one time.

I also buy a lot of wheat because I am just a bad wheat manager, lol. I never seem to realize how low I am until I'm about the use the last one...that grow quickly but by the time I need it, I usually need it in larger quantities.

I buy a lot of carrots, sugarcane and eggs for the same reasons.

I'll snap up any barn expansion item I come across, but not so much on the silo or land expansion items yet.

I make those premium things specifically to sell in my RSS, but I try not to buy the stuff I'll need to make them, so whatever I get from the sale is profit.

Those are just a few things off the top of my head. I also buy things sometimes for an upcoming boat order if I'm not going to have time to make the stuff myself, but don't do that a lot anymore.

We buy stuff to make more stuff and to fill boats and trucks and contribute to events. We do it for XP and boat points and sell them to the little people for achievements and to help neighbors for XP coins and boats points and achievements.

And then we start all over again.

Who is "we" tho? ;)
