Solution to useless elixir!

If you are like me then you have nearly maxed elixir at all times. It is frustrating to be working on walls but always have 8 million elixir sitting there only waiting for another useless lab upgrade to finish. Well I have a solution

What if we could upgrade obstacles! They would give a slightly upgraded look too. Im not great with technology so ill let you decide what they will look like. Also each upgraded obstacle would give a better chance at getting 5 or 6 gems. Each obstacle would have 3 upgrades and this is excluding all special obstacles (xmas trees).

Upgrade 1:

100k elixir
1 day
Increase chance for gems by 5%

Upgrade 2:

250k elixir
2 days
Increase chance for gems by 10%

Upgrade 3:

500k elixir
3 days
Increase chance for gems by 20%

This would also give new players a desire to upgrade their storages in order to be able to get the cool looking new obstacles. This is something I just came up with so give me your thoughts and feedback.

It would have to be way cheaper and far less time consuming. There can be just a bigger elixir cost to remove it in the first place without any complicated upgrades. Also, this is in the wrong sub-forum. A mod will move it to the Ideas & Future Requests sub-forum shortly so don't worry about that.:cool:

Dude just upgrade your town hall instead of complaining you are full on elixir

I'd like to see defensive spells added. Spells that you place around your base to use on defence.

That sounds interesting! Or maybe a spell shield? I would stick a lightning spell shield right on top of my DE storage -.- I'm tired of those stupid zappers:mad:

pushing will eat up elixer for sure, although i do not like the idea presented here i do think that more options to use elixer would be nice. For example how about a choice to use gold or elixer on walls or a way to convert elixer to gold, etc.

I have; it is still useless.

I would like a currency changer. So for example if you had 4 mil elixer, you could take 2 mil out and get 1mil gold. So you only would get 50% of the value when changing. Changing to dark would be like 1%. Only negative to this is it would reduce resources in the game in that if. You changed one currency for another all the time, loot is lost.

Not surprised. I have read through the ruled out ideas, but it's been a while.

You could just train mass drags ^_^

So elixir is useless? I thought so too as a TH 9... Now at a TH 10, you need it more than you think. Just come on up ad experience my pain :rolleyes:

But my elixir storages are never full. I can use endless on armies, spells, dark pump upgrades, troop upgrades so for me it's the opposite. Maybe things change later on my TH journey.

Abot ot a year ago there was a thread on this and they ruled out lighting sheilds because they said it was fair for them to spend all the money on spells and wait like 2 hours just to get like 700 de

Im always low on elixer lol! Troops upgrades are over 2m and everything else is 1m+ I have a hard time keeping elixer most times

If i fill up elixir waiting on a lab upgrade etc.. i just train a mass army that cost a ♥♥♥♥ ton a few times and lower it a few hundred thousand ...

You're not pushing then. 5 spells per battle plus the cost of balloonian, GoWiPe, or mass dragon will eat through your elixir like nothing else, nevermind the cost of donating good troops like wizards and dragons. If you don't know how to spend elixir, then leave your storages outside for someone who can.
