Where are the gold collector?

Th8 reporting. Maxed BARCH, giants being maxed and wallbreakers next.

I'll head straight to the problem. I am a very proficient farmer, i am so proficient that 10m gold per day is child's play to me. I began this came on the 28th january and have already racked up 150m gold grab and 100m elixir escapade. I guess you could say I have fallen a victim to my high standards as I am not contented with below 10m gold on days when I don't have lectures.

I upgraded to th8 a few days ago and have been seeing posts about 1600-1800 being the th8 farming sweetspot. So, I moved up and found 1400-1550 to be quite good for raiding inactive gold collectors. I continued to further progress up to 1600 and found myself pressing next for 10 minutes or more per raid.

My question is, what is the best trophy range for th8 gold farming with maxed BARCH?

It's never the same spot 2 days in a row. But your best bet is between 1300-1700.

There is no need for a pm as I can do that here and other people can contribute to help you become better.

Firstly, I have a few questions for you.

What town hall level are you?
What army composition do you use?
What trophy level do you farm at?
How active are you? (Consecutive hours).

Trophy range matters less, times of the day and days of the week matter more.

Im th8
i use Barch, but ATM im using 3 dragons with 140 lvl 5 archers and 3 lighting spells (im boosting my baracks so its working good for now)
i usually farm from 1200-1400
i can do about 5 consecutuve hours and i play maybe 10-11 hours daily

tell me what you think of my progress so far (only 2 weeks at th8)
i also have level 5 barbs and lvl 5 archers

I am facing these issues myself, I am few weeks old th8 with gold grab above 190 million now.... anyways not finding mines and collector full as often started after jan 2014 update.... before that even at th7 my gold grab crossed 10 million on an active day without dropping a sweat.

Now I normally trophy up to 1600-1700 every day and drop to find the sweet spot.

You are actually a higher level than me xD (I'm only level 61).

I'd say ditch the SF and third barrack boost; focus on boosting 2 barracks. Keep the first barrack you boost on barbs only, second boosted and third non-boosted on archers only. Don't upgrade your barracks now as you need to train your troops as fast as possible if you really intend to farm skull walls, that can be done after you have completed your walls. Your strategy of including dragons takes far too long to train and is too much of an elixir drain, so therefore cannot be classified a farming army. Not to mention the amount of gems you invest daily for it. Using BARCH is the most efficient way - time wise and elixir wise - to raid gold collectors. A modified version of BARCH will be needed to go deeper into the base for those rich storage raids.

Aim for around 80 barbs and 90 archers. I for one use 70 barbs (damage and tank), 88 archers (damage), 6 giants (tank), 6-8 wallbreakers (prevents barbs from stupidly slashing at walls and dying), 3 lightning (2 eliminates closest mortar or WT to storage which i'm raiding, third is in case I forget to check cc for archers/wizards). I don't always raid with lightnings as it takes 1 hour 30 minutes to complete and honestly consider them a luxury when tacking those hard-hitting splash damage bases.

I deploy my army as follows:

Clear outer buildings with single archers. (I can spend 1-2 minutes doing this as my battles rarely lasts longer than 1 minute 30 seconds).

Spread out first wave of barbs through the cleared area that is closest to the collectors or storages.

Spread first wave of archers to cover the barbs as they are taking fire.

When the first layer of defense is taken care of, send giants quickly followed by wallbreakers. TIME THIS TO AVOID MORTAR SHOTS.

Funnel second wave of barbs to go directly into the buildings behind the broken walls.

Funnel second wave of archers to smack the core or storages with max DPS.

This tactic gains me 50-80% victory and i slowly crawl up in trophies. Which is ideal as it allows me to remain within a certain sweetspot and farm it hard. I press next if I see a raid below 175k gold, unless i'm really desperate then I settle for no less than 150k absolute minimum. If it turns out to be a collector raid, I simply drop 5 barbs and 5 archers per collector to get all the loot. If it's a storage raid, then sometimes I use the bk to get in deep (he is also a luxury as he sleeps for a ridiculous amount of time).

My apologies fir the late response, I've had to compose those whilst farming at the same time. Today I've had lectures from 7-5 so I only managed to get on coc around 7 and have farmed for the past 3 hours now and managing to make over 4m gold, even though it has been a crappy day for farming, hence the purpose of this thread.

I would stay at 1400-1600 for TH8. The gold there is decent even for me (a th10), plenty of inactive bases perfect for BARCH and BAM strategies. I only move past 1600 when I want to get some DE
