Hello all:
i am the Klettinator, lvl 83 and maxed th8 except for de troops, bk, walls, and teslas. I am trying to get to masters to get 1000 gems and get my 5th builders hut. Currently i am idling around 2430-2500 and can not seem to rise up. I have been 3-starred by hogs more times than I can count. Suggestions? New base design? Put town hall outside? Attack strategies? Tired of spending 5 hours gaining 50 trophies and just losing them to hogs every night.
Maybe try barch/bam up to 2400 and use either hogs/loonion/gowipe til you reach 2600
I would try to 50% bases with barch. But here's a more in-depth guide.

Can anyone give me a base design that will get 1 or 2 starred but not 3 starred by hogs?

As far as attack strategies go, I used Barch in combination with giants to work my way to to where I am now. As I'm sure you know, you've probably seen many exposed THs that are booby-trapped or guarded by disco towers, xbows, and other stuff. Deploying anywhere from 12-20 giants can buy you a solid 20 seconds of time by keeping defenses occupied.This gives me more than enough time to deploy a BK with 30 barbs and take out the TH. I rarely went for THs that were behind walls, or were surrounded by buildings that my archers/barbs may accidentally attack. I always carried 3 lightning spells in case i needed to deal with CC troops or need to lightning a TH that I couldn't quite cap off.
Obviously if you come across a TH 7, you should be able to 50% it automatically. You only need 27 buildings tops. I believe a TH 8 takes 31 buildings at most to 50% and that's assuming they have 5 builders.
