Clashof "Clans?"

There probably is a sticky for this, but I am to lazy to look. I want to know when or if there will every be a time when we can actually battle other clans.

I for one want this to happen ASAP as where I am from we have a rivalry between towns. We host a football game between us and the rival "Orland" people called battle of the Axe and have been doing that since 1961! Now, that has nothing to do with the question at hand, but gives an idea of why I want this option. Recently we have found the other towns clan and are eagerly waiting for an update to allow us to clash their As*es! Any information on the subject is much appreciated :)
