Should we be able to change the name in the game?
Most of us just gave random names when we didn't know that we will spend so much time on this game.
If there is no requirement that the names be unique, why not let us change them? :)

Maybe if you were only allowed to change it once or twice. You can't seriously allow people to change their names whenever they want or you would never know who that random person is in your clan.Quote:

I'm actually surprised SC hasn't allowed us to change our name in exchange for gems. Xbox live charges you $10 to change your xbox live name and I know many people who have done it. I'm sure SC could charge a couple hundred gems and people would do it all the time.
I can see a few reasons they wouldn't allow this, but maybe limit it to a single name change or something. Seems like with the huge amount of revenue they'd generate for offering this they could figure out a solution to the possible abuse.
They should charge for one change, and allow for emergency situations only from then on out.
Maybe changing name once would be ok.
It would seem like a logical step for supercell to make money. Charge you a few hundred gems to change your name.
If there was a concern about people doing it all the time then a) their loss, it's costing them loads of gems and b) you could add a cooldown like with shields that means you could do it say once a month.
