Hay Day will not connect on different wifi

See you know the answer! Same principle just the devices used changed. Just like meonhoc said it isn't uncommon for those ports to be blocked in work environments as well in most cases you don't need them to erm well work.

I tried portquiz.net:9339 and got a connection. (On my iPad Safari)

HayDay is just not loading. I also tried the "solution" with closing running apps and rebooting my device, but no sucess.

Try using VPN, it should work.

VPN fells like "using a sledge-hammer to crack a nut"

Isn't there any "easy" solution by just opening some ports?

I disabled content filter and opened ports 5223 and 9339 TCP/UDP.

Are you the network admin of your company? You have full control over the network to open/close ports ? VPN is not like "using a sledge-hammer to crack a nut", it's used everywhere today and it's just as easy as clicking a button. If you have full control over your network and configuring firewall/router an easier option for you, then just go ahead.

Well then just go ahead and do it. If it still doesn't work, you've got bad luck. Btw, network admins are not supposed to randomly mess up with network configurations

I replied on this thread because it doesn't work......
Port 9339 is open.

I first monitored my connections on my nexus and yeah, hay day only uses ports 9339 and 443 (SSL)

After disabling my firewall hay day worked. So it had to do with the firewall and probably with the alldeny rule.

So I finally thought about monitoring my firewall and found the solution

Hay Day is using port 8080 for the connection!!

After opening port 8080 Hay Day is working

Why do you block port 8080? I thought it is a common port widely used and open for http traffic (along with port 80). Is there a particular reason if you don't mind.

we are basically blocking everything (ALLDENY-rule) and then open some specific ports like port 80 and 443

Other ports may get opened for specific machines if needed for daily work (like me building my farm during work-time :cool:
